Atour Hotel in Xili Smart Valley Industrial Park, Nanshan District, Shenzhen Reviews

Very good clean and modern hotel, and rooms. Breakfast could be better, and out in the sticks slightly with a good 15-20mins walk to restaurants and small stores.

We have stayed in 10+ Atour hotels, and feel this one does not justify the current 4.9 rating. First, the positives: the room was clean apart from a few marks on the floor, and the rooms are as advertised apart from one major point (see below). The building has been newly renovated into a hotel so the fittings, furniture and decor are all new. The reception staff were nice, friendly, and responsive, and there are all of the usual Atour facilities like laundry and a fitness room. However, a major issue for us was that the room we booked did not have an external window, despite a “city view” being listed as one of the highlighted features on Trip. The small window in the room looks onto a very small light shaft/inner courtyard. Describing it as a city view is both incorrect and misleading, particularly as this room cost more than the one listed as “no city view”. When contacted by Trip on our behalf, the hotel provided no acknowledgement of the issue - the response that was relayed to us was that the “unified view of the room is the interior view”. Additionally, the breakfast room seems to be too small for the size of the property - we arrived and there were no tables for us to sit at straight away. It also has no windows and feels cramped. Even though it isn’t, it feels like eating underground/in a bunker. The dumplings are held behind the counter in baskets so you can’t help yourself, yet they are cold 🤷♀️ There was also noise late into the night, some of which seemed to be from housekeeping cleaning rooms past midnight, and otherwise from noisy guests in other rooms. The soundproofing isn’t as good as it should be, but there are ear plugs provided. Location wise, the hotel is next to a mall which is currently still being constructed. It is not centrally located so worth making sure the location works for your plans in Shenzhen.

Noisy hotel.

First of all, I would like to praise the customer service downstairs for being very friendly, enthusiastic and polite. I arrived at the hotel at 11:00 in the morning. The original check-in time was 2:00, but the customer service was able to make adjustments immediately. They checked to see if there was a cleaned room for me and upgraded me to a superior room for free, so that I could check in first. Entering the room, I found the quality of the room to be very good, and it felt warm and quiet. The air conditioning and temperature don't blow on my head, it's quiet, and I slept well the whole night.

The service is very good, and the room is very clean. It's just that the room is very noisy and I can't sleep. If An changes the room, it will not be noisy later. I rested well in the second half of the night. The facilities are very modern, especially the breakfast, and the local specialties are very delicious. There are also many snacks around, and the transportation is convenient. It is also equipped with an air purifier.

The hotel service is very good, you can borrow a charging cable. Be careful when ordering takeout, because there are many Atour restaurants with similar names. If you order the wrong one, you need to ask someone to run errands. The room is clean and tidy, and the shower room is also very comfortable. I didn't try the breakfast, but the gym is very practical, and there are books for borrowing in the lobby.

Lobby: I came here on a business trip. The lobby provides tea and water, and there are also sockets, desks and chairs, and sofas. It is very bright and can meet temporary office needs~ Room: I made the wrong room card and power card when I checked in, and the staff immediately helped to solve it. The king-size room is very comfortable and the room is very quiet~ Breakfast: There are many choices for breakfast, including special rice noodles, which are made to order, and fruits, salads, etc. are also available after the meal~ Service: The hotel provides a gym, but I was too lazy to go 😹 ​​There is also free laundry service, which is our first choice for business trips, which is very convenient~ Transportation: The hotel is very close to the subway station and bus station, and it is very convenient to go out for a walk occasionally~ PS: Let me focus on the bookshelf in the lobby. There are books that I saw in the bookstore before but thought they were expensive and didn’t buy! There is also a stamp collection, and I took a book with a 🦊 cover, which is very cute~

The service attitude of the young man and the young lady at the front desk was very good. It was very late when we checked in. They poured us a cup of honey water, which was very warm. The room was very clean and spacious, and it was very comfortable to stay in.

The front desk staff is very enthusiastic and the waiter's attitude is also very good. There is a restaurant serving Cantonese cuisine next to the hotel, which is suitable for business travel. There is no park downstairs of the hotel, just a road, which is very convenient to Nanshan and Baoan. Thank you for your gift🎁!

The front desk staff is friendly and attentive. The breakfast is varied and delicious. The hotel is very close to Vanke Cloud City Sky City. The bed in the hotel room is very comfortable. The room is spacious and soundproof. I will stay here again next time.
