Good steak house for dinner

I stayed at this Crowne Plaza two years ago and had a positive experience, so I returned expecting the same standard. Unfortunately, the hotel has gone downhill. It’s now noticeably tired and dated. The Good: • Reception staff are professional and helpful. • The bed was comfortable. The Bad: • Breakfast is limited and uninspiring. If you want anything off-menu, like an omelette, you’re pointed to the paid à la carte option — not exactly hospitable. • Guests are required to carry a paper slip with their room number to access breakfast. Why in 2025 this is still a thing is beyond me. • The suite I stayed in was run-down — chipped glass on furniture, a peeling and worn headboard, and visible damp and mold on the bedroom ceiling. • The bathroom has no extractor fan, making it feel even more humid and musty. • The bedroom was dark — unless you physically move lamps from other areas of the suite. • The AC unit was loud enough to disturb sleep. • WiFi was painfully slow (1.5 Mbps at its worst, only improving after two days of complaints). • Breakfast options were repetitive with no variation throughout the stay. This isn’t what you expect from a Crowne Plaza. For the price and brand, it’s disappointing — and definitely not what it used to be. Won’t be returning unless there’s a serious renovation.
