We had a lovely weekend here mid September. This resort is enormous and beautiful. My 7 year old was so impressed when we pulled up in the parking lot. The resort is huge. It had a an outdoor heated pool, lawn chairs around fire pits (and s'mores in the evening) with some lawn games, beach access, and the indoor water park, and a gym. The indoor water park is the main reason we came, but we also swam in the outdoor pool and the beach (even though it was mid Sept and starting to get slightly chilly). The indoor water park is small but nice. There are a few medium big water slides, and 2 medium water slides, and some tiny water slides for toddlers. There's a giant bucket that dumps water out not very frequently (it annoyed my son he couldn't figure out how and when to be there to get water dumped on him). The nice thing about the water park is that it's contained enough and small enough space that we let our kid have some independence and do his own thing. It was pretty easy to spot him within a couple of minutes from anywhere. The wave pool was boring, it needed so much currents to push people along. It also had a Riptide surf simulator. We had never seen one of these before. We tried it several times. It is so hard. Some kids started to get good at it. My husband was decent. Our kid and I got thrown around a bunch. We tried until we got hurt. I'm glad I tried, not very many moms did this. We had a great weekend and would return!

HUGE shout out to the lifeguards who worked the surf area over Labor Day. My son spent all weekend surfing and every single life guard who was on duty that weekend took time to not only monitor kids safety but also teach them tricks on the board. They would take time to coach him on how to hold the board, how to sit up, spin it and then ultimately surf. Every single guy that was working the two days seemed to enjoy his job and really went above and beyond to make this the best experience for the kids. Blessed for this local little gem.

We stayed here for 3 nights and for the most part our stay was great. First of all you can not beat the location or the view of the lake from the balcony on our room. We did upgrade for that. It is also in a great location if you are going fishing on a charter which I did. You are right next door to where the boats go out. Now, I will preface the rest of my review by saying that my wife and I are spoiled and we have been blessed to stay at some marvelous resorts that are in the high end price range. This one is perhaps overpriced, The room was fine, but the property is perhaps a bit dated. I would have expected a dual sink and a walk in shower. Everything is clean and the rest of the room was great, but as I get older (61), I do not enjoy stepping into a bath tub to take a shower. I am not disabled by any means, but for the price, I expect a little nicer bathroom. The Beacon restaurant that is on the property. The food was okay. I had the salmon and my wife had The Bucatini. It was later on a Thursday night so maybe that was a factor, but it was nothing spectacular. We actually had better food the next couple of nights when we sat at the bar, even though the food came from the same place. The burger was good and the pizza was good. The resort is very good and our nieces who are in their 30's joined us for a night and they used the water park and liked it. The staff was friendly enough but the coffee shop only had one person working most of the time and lines formed pretty quickly. The ice cream was great. Overall great location, but I would think twice about spending that much money for jwhat I would not say is a luxury resort.

These guys seem to be getting worse. Customer experience woeful and they don’t seem to care about any loyalty you’ve shown them. Last straw was waiting for room keys - our room wasn’t ready, thats fine, happens. Promised to text. Nothing. Came to front desk- huge line - they said yes have room ready, sorry didn’t tell you, go get in back of line.

We've been coming to the area annually for many years and for the last six visits, have stayed at the Blue Harbor. We plan to do so again but some observations. The rooms are showing wear and tear along with age. There was a little black mold in our shower/tub. The phone was not connected to the wall jack which when we discovered it wasn't working. That said, the resort is very clean and the rooms well designed. The location and surroundings can't be beat...but it's getting extremely pricey. Common areas are welcoming.. Breakfast has many options but it would be nice if coffee and hot water were out in the open rather than having to request staff for each refill. Oatmeal would be a nice option. All staff has been very friendly and helpful. It's an ideal place for parents with young children as it's very family friendly. The snack shop has many nice offerings for those who want to grab and go including coffee, sandwiches, ice cream, yogurt, cereal, baked goods, etc.

Extended family stay at the resort In July. Check in was fine. We have stayed at this resort two times and previously had stayed in a suite. This time we reserved a 2 bedroom villa (condo). The condo we were in (#751) was OK but there were a few things that I felt needed to be addressed. Everything was very clean. The kitchen was fairly well stocked but the skillet and pans were old and falling apart. Microwave light didn’t work, ice maker in fridge didn’t work, the furniture in living area was very dated. We used the full size pull out bed in couch and bed was sagging so much from all the weight/sitting over time on the couch. We had to use the couch cushion and pillows to prop up the bed so it could be somewhat useable. Jacuzzi tub and shower worked great but was dated. As you can tell I think the condos need maintenance and updating especially for the price per night. We ate the breakfast buffet at the Beacon and it was very underwhelming…the staff serving us were nice but very slow and buffet was not being watched very well as pans were empty or food had been sitting out for so long the quality suffered. Additionally I tried to contact the spa at least a few days before we arrived - I emailed and called but nobody got back to me until the day we were arriving…needless to say I had already schedule somewhere else off properly. Finally their website and communication channels are very poor - I called many times to get hung up on or dropped call. They sent a post stay survey I spent time filling out only to get an error message when I hit submit. The resort grounds are beautiful and the beach and pool area are fun I just wish they would make some updates and review their communication practices. Unfortunately I feel uncertain as to whether we will stay again.

Overall great extended weekend trip with the family. Every team member we came across was very friendly and professional. Beds were very fluffy and comfortable. Waterpark had enough attractions to keep my kids occupied. Room rates were very affordable.

The room was very nice and we had a good time when we visited. HOWEVER, we have had a horrible experience ever since. Our credit card got mixed up with another room and they have tried to bill us not just once when we were actually there, but TWICE (a month later no less!) for this other room. They barely apologized for it this second time, stating that they weren't the ones who caused the issue as if that should negate this whole experience. I would never trust them with our credit card information again. I asked to speak with a manager about the situation and was told there wasn't one available. They wouldn't even give me the option of leaving a voicemail. We did leave a voicemail with accounting but no one ever called us back. Very unprofessional. A mistake once is forgivable, even if there's no apology forthcoming for it. A "mistake" twice is not a mistake at all and they should be bending over backward to apologize for it and make it right, instead of asking me if I remember which room I stayed in. YOU should already know that!

We loved our stay at Blue Harbor! The loft suite is beautiful and the beds very comfortable. We loved the lake view. Gorgeous! We ate at the Beacon and On the Rocks and the food was delicious. All the staff were so accommodating to the kids. Everyone loved the water park! The moms snuck in a spa visit and it was top notch. Our massages were fantastic! We will definitely return!
