I extended my stay by another day as I had some business to attend to on Friday.
First, the pros: I arrived quite early on check-in day. A gentleman at the front desk was very helpful; he promptly arranged for housekeeping to prioritize cleaning my room and even gave me a complimentary drink voucher. I was able to check in before I even finished my coffee, which I really appreciated!
Now for the cons, which were similar to my last visit. This was my second stay here. On my first visit, I ended up checking out without breakfast because the queue was so long and I simply didn't have time to wait. This time, it almost happened again. When I got to the breakfast area, a young lady at the entrance just told me it was too crowded and I'd have to wait. I suggested that as I was dining alone, I could share a table with others. Only then did she seem to realize that sharing tables was an option and said she would go in and check. Once inside, I saw many people had already finished their meals and were just sitting around chatting, while outside, a lot of other guests were eagerly waiting to be seated. The hotel shouldn't just dismiss guests with a simple 'it's busy today, please wait.' I believe they should gently encourage people to finish up and be more flexible. Of course, I'm not suggesting they forcibly kick guests out, but perhaps the relevant hotel departments should train their staff on better communication and service flow in such situations.
Another point: I went to the coffee bar on the ground floor, thinking my taxi wouldn't arrive so quickly, and wanted to grab some cookies or snacks. However, there was nobody at the coffee bar. I asked a young lady passing by to help me inquire, but she ended up not even knowing where to find assistance herself, let alone being able to get back to me. Eventually, I had to ask another gentleman, who was then able to assist me.
Aside from these issues, everything else was fine. Overall, it was still a decent stay, and I would particularly recommend it to business travelers.

This hotel came highly recommended by a friend for its excellent value for money. For my solo trip, I prioritized a convenient location and reasonable pricing. Upon entering the lobby, I was impressed by its sophisticated, business-like atmosphere. My room was easy to find, and they had paid attention to all the special requests I made in my booking. After signing up for HUAZHU Rewards, they proactively offered a room upgrade, making my stay even more comfortable. The room was also spotlessly clean. Dental kits are only provided upon request, as part of their environmental efforts.
I explored the city daily, and finding a taxi was very convenient. The front desk staff were incredibly attentive to all my needs. Their positive attitude and clear communication made interactions pleasant. I even extended my stay for an additional night. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other friends in the future.

Very nice cozy atmosphere lobby to sit in for coffee or just waiting for pick.up. Large master bedroom with a more than usual size walk in close for an aparthotel. Near subway line and there is KFC & Starbuck just back of the lobby building

Very beautiful hotel and the lobby smell was amazing. The little robot butler is always a plus, comfortable beds, awesome smart toilet, and the cleaning ayi was great! The only con is the limited English of the staff.

I have stayed at the Novotel Suites Hotel on and off for the past 4 years. The rooms are spacious and clean. Cindy at front desk and reservation is extremely helpful and prompt in responding. She is helpful and upgraded my room as requested. She has been very helpful throughout my stay and this time it was a great experience in comparison to my past visits due to her hospitality .
I recently stayed at your hotel for three days and, overall, had a pleasant experience. However, I would like to share some concerns regarding the assistance provided by the front desk staff when it came to booking taxis.
On multiple occasions, I asked the reception to help me book a taxi, but I encountered issues each time:
Upon check-in, I needed to visit another hotel to collect my luggage. The round trip was no more than 15 km, but I was charged around 90 yuan. The rate shown was 5.3 yuan/km, which is almost double the standard fare. The taxi was booked by the reception.
The next day, I inquired about a taxi to the city center. The staff member initially quoted 150 yuan, and when I declined, he later said it would cost 100 yuan. However, when I checked online, the estimated fare was only 51 yuan. As I do not have access to Alipay, I couldn’t book it myself, so I opted to take the metro instead.
On the day of checkout, I requested a taxi to the airport. After a few failed attempts, the same staff member said he would book through a different company and quoted 40 yuan, although I know the fare from the hotel to Hongqiao station is usually under 30 yuan. I paid him 50 yuan (as he did not have change), and later he shared a receipt showing a fare of 52.44 yuan. Based on my understanding, the fare should not have exceeded 25 yuan.
I’ve attached the receipt he shared for the airport taxi. Unfortunately, I do not know the staff member’s name, as he wasn’t wearing a name tag, but his WeChat name is “lik.”
I hope you will look into this matter, as I believe such incidents can affect the overall guest experience. Thank you for your attention.

AAnonymous UserI had a truly wonderful stay at Suning Novotel, and I can’t thank the staff enough for their incredible hospitality. Everyone was friendly, helpful, and made us feel completely at home — especially Mr. Eri Zhu, the Executive Assistant Manager, who went above and beyond to ensure our entire stay was smooth, comfortable, and memorable. His attention to detail and genuine care made all the difference!
A special highlight: they surprised my son with two birthday cakes, which absolutely made his day! Such thoughtful gestures and amazing freebies really set this hotel apart. Thank you again to the entire team — highly recommended and looking forward to coming back!
