Shanghai Changning District Hotels

We stay at this hotel as the 2nd time. Last time staying in Jul, 2025 made our team felt satisfactory in this hotel. Then we stay here again in September. What made our team satisfied in yhis hotel: 1). Location : Near Suicheng station of metro line 10 and just 4 stations to Hongqiao railway station. 2). Room : Compact but clean. 3). Staff : The desk front staffs are very freindly and try to help customers as much as they can do and favor. 4). Breakfast : A varietry of foods for your choice with a good taste.

The staff may not smile a lot but they were very helpful and professional. Front desk was easily contactable over WeChat. I had some issues with the delivery companies regarding my delivery parcels but the staff helped and ensured that I received them. They also reached out and checked with me if the shoes that I left behind during checkout was intentional or accidental. 10/10 will book again

It’s beautiful hotel with elegant interior. We have good and big room with wonderful beds and nice view, but bathroom was absolutely opened - without door - it wasn’t convenient for the family with different genders. The location is nice if you want visit Anfu and Wukang roads. The breakfast was in a good assortment and quite tasty. The negative moment was service- the hotel staff needs to work on it. The check-in time was supposed to be 15:00, but the staff told us it would be at 16.00 - it was unacceptable for us - we had plans and bookings at other places, so - until I started yelling, no one even tried to speed things up. In hotels with good service, the staff usually responds quickly and tries to solve the customer's problem before they become nervous. It’s a normal practice in high level hotels through all over the world. And i suggest Hilton considers itself a high-level hotel. So stuff should be more professional.

This is a truly amazing hotel that offers a comfortable and pleasant experience! First off: the 5-star service is impeccable, with attentive and incredibly friendly staff. Their professional service made me feel right at home and left a deep impression. Check-in at the front desk was efficient and quick, allowing me to get to my room and relax without delay. Lobby: The 5-star hotel's signature scent is very refreshing, and the furnishings are upscale. Room is fantastic: The design is simple yet stylish, with a well-thought-out layout and comfortable furniture placement. It looks soft during the day and is just as good at night. Location: It's a 5-minute walk from Exit 1 of Beixinjing Station on Line 2. For getting around the city, using a map is still more convenient. The meticulous service, comfortable bedding, and thoughtful amenities make this my top choice for business trips and leisure travel.

The hotel boasts a great location, offering a quiet retreat while still being conveniently close to Hongqiao Railway Station and the airport. Metro Line 2 provides direct access, and Songhong Road Station Exit 5 is less than a 5-minute walk from the hotel. You can also take Metro Line 2 to Pudong Airport, People's Square, and Nanjing Road. Next to the hotel is a shopping complex called Livat, which has a wide variety of restaurants, making it incredibly convenient. I really liked the hotel's French-style decor. The staff were warm and attentive, and the laundry facilities and gym were a great convenience for guests. The breakfast buffet offered a rich and delicious selection. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in Shanghai! Highly recommended!

Good services and they threw in extra breakfasts. There are no good restaurants and shopping malls nearby. But you can always take DiDi to get to them. DiDi fare is about CNY$15.

It is conveniently located in a shopping center, so you have several options to eat and do. The access is a bit hidden and complicated for cabs. The three girls at the front desk were very indifferent and a bit rude. I asked as a special requirement that they help me with my luggage since I was coming out of surgery and none of them wanted to do it. I also asked for a room away from the elevators and was assigned a room less than 20 meters away! The room is a small apartment, they do not include cooking accessories or any other amenities Near from the laundry machine they have a lot of humidity .

Overall, the room offered excellent value for money. I really liked the charming retro decor – it's clear a lot of care went into the design. Having a smart toilet, a kitchenette, and a washing machine made it feel very well-equipped for longer stays. The breakfast was a definite highlight; it used high-quality ingredients, offered a great mix of Chinese and Western options, and they even focus on sustainability, which is a nice touch. The staff were also very friendly and provided great service. On the downside, there was a noticeable musty smell in the room, which was quite strong. We also spotted a few minor cleanliness issues, like dirty windows that made it hard to clearly enjoy the view outside. Lastly, the shower pressure was quite weak.

Years ago, foreign friends stayed here when they visited Shanghai, but unfortunately, they didn't adapt well to the local conditions, which left a deep impression. This time, I embarked on an adventure with my wife and child, booking a two-night stay, and we were met with one pleasant surprise after another. First, the front desk staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Due to an unexpected change in our schedule, we couldn't return to the hotel in time for check-out. After a phone call, they not only extended our check-out until 2:30 PM free of charge but, as it was Halloween, the front desk even gave a small snack to my child, which was a very thoughtful gesture. The buffet breakfast was rich and varied, with excellent Chinese and Western options, fruits, and coffee. The diverse international guests dining in the restaurant were endless, truly giving a sense of being in a cosmopolitan city. If needed, you could even speak to the restaurant manager about taking a coffee back to your room. Ms. Li Lin, the cleaning staff on our floor, was also very nice and friendly, confirming when we'd like our room cleaned and even proactively asking if we needed more mineral water. The only regret is that the bathroom in the room was quite narrow, and the bathtub drain had an issue, showing signs of being old and poorly maintained, as if regular upkeep was lacking. The location, however, is absolutely superb. It's incredibly convenient for getting around, dining, massages, shopping, and sightseeing. I would definitely consider staying here again if I have the chance.
