Nice Thai themed hotel located in downtown Shanghai. Connected to a fabulous shopping mall and conveniently located near the Hongqiao Airport. Staff were nice, rooms clean, and had a pleasant stay. Would recommend for business and family travelers.

Very upscale hotel with excellent service and great location. For most standard rooms, there is no way to completely close off the bathroom from the room, something worth keeping in mind.

The hotel enjoys a strategic location, just a 5 to 10-minute walk from the train station and right next to a shopping mall with plenty of dining options. The room is spacious, and the staff are all very attentive. We also dined at the Thai restaurant in the hotel and found the food to be authentically flavored.

The location is great but the breakfast is very disappointing, in terms of food and service. We wanted to try out the Thai restaurant in the hotel but we gave up after we realized the Thai restaurant was the same place we had breakfast. So we went to the Michelin-star Italian restaurant in the hotel. This turned out quite an interesting dining experience.

It's my second stay and it was a pleasant stay, a outstanding hotel located in the heart of Shanghai They offer F&B 12% discount for in house guests, the Zuk Bar at the hotel is one of my favorite outdoor bars in town.

Here is my review for Sukhothai shanghai: I recently stayed at The Sukhothai Shanghai, and overall, it was a wonderful experience. The hotel exudes elegance, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, and the room was impeccably clean. Every detail, from the ambiance to the amenities, was well thought out, making for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. However, my only issue was the bed and bedding. Unfortunately, I found the mattress to be less comfortable than expected, and the bed sheets didn’t feel as cozy as they should in a hotel of this caliber. I kept waking up throughout the night, which definitely affected my rest. Overall, I would still recommend the hotel—just with a note that the bed and bedding may not be for everyone.

Mostly up to par with Sukhothai Bangkok although in Bangkok, I would say the staff appears friendlier and you feel more welcomed. Probably China is so advanced digitally, maybe the staff feels that their guests could get by and manage mostly everything by themselves. Well, not for those of us who wanted to ‘not think’ and be pampered. The control system in the room is a little backward and not very sensitive. Somehow the WiFi didn’t quite work in my case but I didn’t realise it (as my data roaming takes over when WiFi is weak) until the morning I was to check out. Still, great location, very enjoyable room and amenities, and reasonable pricing. I’ll definitely return.

Staying for my US visa renewal as it’s located nearby US embassy and easier to walk by for an early appointment. Manage to have Thai Restaurant downstairs at 1FL which is very authentic foods! Overall, enjoyable stays within surrounding…

Booked a regular room yet was provided with a room designed with disabled access. Whilst personally not against such a room, I was NOT told of during my check in nor beforehand, and was given to me under the same booking as a regular room. This room had no double sink, no adjustable temperature nor taps, no bath and an uncomfortable layout. How should it then be advertised and charged the same as a regular room that supplies all the usual amenities?? The fact that customer was not informed beforehand was deeply disingenuous. First impression upon my initial stay in April was good, however, was VERY disappointed by this recent second stay. Service, cleanliness, room service was still top par, yet this experience is still rather unacceptable.

The hotel is luxury and the room is spacious. But the bathroom door cannot be locked which is not so convenient for family.

The service at the front desk lead by duty manager Cameron was impeccable. They can communicate effectively with foreigners. The cleaners cleaned thoroughly every night, and the breakfast staff were kind The room is large, great if ur staying with a friend. Our only one complain is the bed, the bed and pillow were not to our liking and the aircon kept turning on and off through the night. But the service at the hotel made up for it.
