I recently had the pleasure of staying at Mercure Lujiazui Shanghai, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I checked in, the service was nothing short of exceptional. I was generously upgraded to a better room for a 4-night stay and when I decided to extend my trip by an extra night, the hotel graciously let me keep the same upgraded room without any hassle. The room itself was spacious, modern, and incredibly comfortable. Every detail, from the amenities to the housekeeping, was thoughtfully executed. What truly stood out was the warmth and attentiveness of the staff; they went above and beyond to ensure my stay was seamless. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, Mercure Lujiazui delivers a premium experience in the heart of Shanghai. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This hotel is located next to a MRT station, so it’s very convenient for taking metro transportation. However, as there is no main entrance accessible for cars, normally drivers will drop you off on either end of the hotel. You can walk to the hotel lobby in 3 mins. Unfortunately we noticed in the hotel corridor, some people were smoking. After repotting it to the reception, they took action to stop it. Breakfast is note catered for local tastes.

Very convenient location, few meters far from the Changyi Road metro station (Lines 14 and 18), it’s a 15-minute drive from the North Bund. Rooms are clean, the hotel provides also laundry service with washing machines and dryers on site. Our honeymoon celebration was acknowledged by the hotel and we were provided a complimentary upgrade to a higher room category, which made our stay more pleasant. Can be improved: staff does not speak English (at least those I interacted with). Still, the use of WeChat and automated translation apps made our life easier.

Overall : good It’s quite difficult as the staffs cannot speak English so if i need anything I have to go Front desk as there’s only 1 guy who can speak English but they are supportive The hotel is new , room and amenities also new but they don’t provide the safety box , and the floor layout is confusing, I booked the suite room which located at the deep corner, for daily cleaning, I had to inform the Front desk every time before leaving Additional, the hotel is not far from the riverside , we walked there everyday after breakfast, it’s only about 10-15 min walk from hotel ☺️

Perfect service and facilities. The front desk staffs are polite and helpful. Spacious and comfortable room, cleanliness more than satisfied. Convenient location there's a mart in next door, next to shopping mall and close to Metro station, the Metro is linked with major attraction and train station. Overall, nothing negative. Will stay again if we are back in Shanghai.

Clean hotel but far away from downtown. The temperature of air condition cannot be adjust. So, it’s a bit hot in the morning. (We have to open the window to get cool wind but still hot btw.)

The aircon was down I.e. no cold air, only hot air. Called the reception and was told the central aircon system for that row of rooms was under maintenance for a period. Was not told prior at check in and only changed room on my last night.
