Namib Desert Lodge

Fantastic overnight stay here. We stayed on our way back to Windhoek from Sossusvlei. It’s about 45 minutes’ drive to Sossusvlei so very conveniently located. The room was nice and the food for dinner and breakfast was very delicious. Staff were very friendly too. The grounds are incredibly beautiful and situated under a very scenic cliff base so the views are very pleasant. The only slight problem was the shower was quite cold no matter what we did, but other than that we had a good time here. The wifi was particularly good and fast for Namibia. They said it was only available in the restaurant and reception (as is normal for every hotel in Sossusvlei/Etosha) but we were able to connect to it even from our room 67 which was quite far from there. I would recommend a stay here.

Good stay Benedicta and the staff were very friendly. The grounds were well kept and the family rooms especially were very spacious. This is a good choice when visiting the Namib area.

Great views of the petrified dunes. Very special. Our Camp2go unit no 2 had great plains views and watching the groups of gemsbok and wildebeest pass in the morning with coffee was a perfect experience. Unit was in ship shape. Management are on top of things. The wind kept on blowing out the 2 plate gas stove for the kettle, so a metal flame protector of sorts is a must.

The Lodge is situated in a scenic area whereby we are able to see the red desert in a short drive. On the way to the red desert, we could see oryx as well. I went in May, the dry season that allows me to see the milky way just some walking distrance from the lodge. It's one of the most unforgettable lodges I have stayed in. Thanks to the multiple excursions arranged by the lodge, I get to make a number of friends there. We find out that we become friends after joining 2 activities together, and hence we decide to join the third one. The guides from the hotel are super knowledgeable and caring. All staff in the hotel are friendly and helpful. With everyone's effort, the lodge is quite well maintained.

They have excellent service. Amazing food. Amazing people. It’s always a great stay. The stuff always makes you feel very welcome and they are always there to help with whatever you need. The rooms are very clean and the air conditioning is amazing. Great for good night sleep.
