I recently stayed at Mines Beach Resort Hotel in a Deluxe Twin Room and had a mixed experience. The resort's location by the scenic 150-acre lake offers a tranquil setting, providing a peaceful escape from the city's hustle and bustle.
Room:
The room was spacious, but it showed signs of age. The air-conditioning didn’t work well, making the stay less comfortable. Additionally, the room had a musty odor, and the furniture appeared worn, clearly in need of refurbishment. While the room size was decent, the overall feel was outdated and not very well maintained.
Accessibility:
There is no elevator, so getting to the room involved carrying luggage up the stairs. Luckily, my room was only on the second floor, and the bellboy was kind enough to help with the bags, which I appreciated.
Service:
The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were polite and helpful throughout the stay. They do provide shuttle bus to the shopping mall, The Mines which is very convenience but if you looking for resort to stay. really need to think twice as the furniture is really old and worn out. Just for a few hour nap, might still ok.
Overall:
The hotel has a nice lakeside setting, but it is clearly very old and in need of major improvements. With proper upgrades and maintenance, it could offer a much better experience for guests.
