We had a truly wonderful stay at Mara Serena Safari Lodge, right inside the beautiful Mara Triangle. The location is unbeatable — surrounded by nature with stunning views of the plains and wildlife all around. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and perfectly designed to blend into the natural setting. The food was excellent, fresh, and full of variety. A special thank you to Edwin, who served us so kindly at the restaurant. He was attentive, friendly, and great with our kids, ensuring they enjoyed their meals from the excellent kids’ menu. The staff, service, and atmosphere made our stay absolutely unforgettable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended for anyone visiting the Masai Mara!

We spent two nights at the Serena whilst doing safari around the Masai Mara. The hotel is authentic to its surroundings, the views are incredible, the service is exemplary. The rooms are spotless, authentic and have everything you need. The baboons are hilarious and add to the property’s charm. Please don’t listen to any negative reviews this is Kenya and the Masai Mara it’s what we came here for. Special thanks to Moses at the bar, Bernard in the restaurant and Richard for looking after our rooms. You are all assets to the Serena they are lucky to have you.

I had a fantastic stay at Mara Serena! The food was consistently delicious with a great variety at every meal. The rooms were very comfortable, well-maintained, and spotlessly clean — a perfect retreat after a long day out in the wild. The views from the lodge are stunning, and the entire experience truly captures the magic of the Masai Mara. From game drives to the warm hospitality of the staff, everything was top-notch. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the best of nature without compromising on comfort.

I will start with what I loved most The staff are the best I’ve ever seen It’s like I’m home They’re extremely homley It felt like home It’s like a livelihood It was so nice♥️ I surely will visit again and again The serene is also awesome it’s a beautiful break from the norms I enjoyed it The Game drive is relaxing and I also loooooved how I’d see some small cute animals as I headed to my room♥️

We had room 32 so almost at the end so uphill with steps to go back to reception & restaurant. Fennity was very friendly and lovely and rest of the staff were very attentive. Food was excellent! Game drives were fantastic and saw loads of animals. A very special place to go.

We had an amazing time at the Mara Serena safari lodge. We were travelling with our four year old twin sons. The entire staff was very warm, welcoming and went out of their way to help with the children. The service is prompt and professional and the hotel has a beautiful view of the Mara . Our driver Ben who took us on safaris was also very good and knowledgeable and we had some great sightings. The hotel is ideally located only 5 minutes away from the airstrip and the reserve. Highly recommended!

We previously booked a trip to this place, which sadly had to be cancelled due to a family bereavement. Some time has passed since, however we are trying to make a new booking and have reached out to the Mara team more than once, however nobody has replied. Not what I would expect from this category of lodge.
