I stayed here for a night out in Seoul with a close friends from high school, and his wife meeting up in Asia. As always, when staying at the Grand Hyatt, you end up not having a “night out” but rather a “night in” because the amenities at the hotel are spectacular. The live band in the lobby bar, the pool turned into the Girbaud ice skating rink, amazingly cooked steakhouse, the indoor pool, etc etc. We had a great night, and once again, when staying at any Grand Hyatt, you never know who you’ll run into. On this occasion, we had run into solo artist/actor Mr Henry Lau, also from Super Junior, and was he was not only kind enough to take a quick photo with my friend’s wife, but I messed up the photo—and after learning I had bumbled the photo during her opportunity to meet one of her k-pop idols—was willing to take another entire series of photos.
The staff ended up helping me with a medical emergency in the middle of the night and stayed very calm during the entire process. Which I will also report to the company directly.
When traveling to Korea—Seoul, Jeju, etc. and anywhere abroad I often stay at the Grand Hyatt in the King Corner Suite. Such a beautiful room, but on this occasion it was just a normal King River view on 9F. A bit small for 3 people, but they made a sofa bed for me while I gave the couple the bed since I only grabbed the room for us (me) for a few hours before I head back to Wuhan—allowing my friends to enjoy the hotel to themselves after I departed. Easy checkout process for them. It was very nice.
Will definitely be back.

The room was nice and had an excellent view. Enjoyed the winter vibe at the hotel. I would like to visit here again soon. Also the hotel managers were really kind.

Hotel was fully booked, then there is not enough service capacity to deal/react. For example on Sunday morning we needed to wait for 20min to get breakfast table.
An excellent stay. From the moment I arrived I felt very well taken care of. Every member of staff was polite, friendly, and patient. I booked a twin room but was offered a King size on arrival. I had a river view that was so beautiful! Namsan park is just across the road - the location is perfect, perfect, perfect! Room service was prompt and the food was good. I didn’t have breakfast. I did eat at JJ Mahoney’s and that was excellent - super service!!
The one thing that did seem odd was I couldn’t seem to not get water all over the floor when using the shower. Not sure if it was the pressure (which was great), or the angle of the shower head (which I did adjust to try and rectify things).
Nice to see sustainability measures in place for amenities, towels etc.
Oh - checking in on a Friday seems to be incredibly busy. I came home from an excursion at around 4pm on Friday and the lobby was jam packed (as was the gallery for tea etc.) so perhaps try and time your visit accordingly.
Excellent stay, will definitely be back!

Our check-in experience was fantastic. The lady working at the front desk was so helpful and set the tone for the entire stay. The entire staff was so quick to help. This hotel is a landmark hotel in Seoul in a great location.

This city view is a must see when in Seoul!
We skipped climbing the Seoul Tower coz with this view we have seen it all.
The recently renovated rooms and suites invoke a new standard of luxury coupled with the unparalleled convenience of being just minutes from downtown Seoul, Myeongdong and Itaewon.
Our room was located on the third floor but because of the hotel's high location we were able to enjoy the wonderful view from there.

The hotel is located at the mid level of the mountain, difficult to get a taxi or Uber, it might perhaps of New Year’s Eve, but the view and the facilities are awesome

Travelled with parents (3 adults in total). Corner room was a good size, could fit a sofa bed comfortably. Mountain View was great with this room.
However, always check what type of toilet you are getting. I stayed in the grand Hyatt a few days before and got a corner room on the 12th floor, which had a normal toilet (separate stalls for shower and toilet bowl). But for this instance, they allocated me a room on the 7th floor, without informing me that the toilet had an open shower (ie no shower doors; water spashes everywhere when one showers). It’s probably meant for handicap users, but it is inconvenient for older folks because the toilet gets wet everywhere and there is a high fall risk.
Location of hotel is also quite inaccessible by public transport. Be prepared to take taxi most of the time (get a card from the front desk; some drivers could not understand my accent).
