The Cliffs

It’s a beautiful hotel with absolutely stunning views but the restaurants close at 9 and it took way to long to have coffee pods brought to our room

The room was excellent and comfortable. I felt at home. The A/C temperature was pleasant. I spent two memorable nights. Thank Genesis

Just a fantastic experience. Beautiful Red Rock views, beautiful rooms, outstanding staff. I couldn't have been more pleased!!! THE place to stay in Sedona!!!!

Started out very nice with our first room. Great view of red rocks. But we were Awakened at 5:00 am with garbage trucks picking up trash outside our door, a guy With a leaf blower outside in parking lot by our room. Then, before 7 am The pool construction noise started. Then we tried to lock our room and The bolt lock wouldn’t lock, had to wait for it to get fixed before we could Leave. The first guy made it worse, second guy later couldn’t fix it without Fixing the screwup from the first guy who did not fix it correctly. So, we had to Move rooms since it would not lock. Moved us to room of a lower grade quality, not very clean and dust on floors etc.. stayed the night there. Asked to be moved to clean room that was also a Jr. Suite like our reservation asked for.. moved to another room had to wait 5 hours to get Moved,.not acceptable. I would say not to go there unless you like fake Quality and loud construction. BTW we booked for 4 nights until July 5. That’s too much for this hotel. Super overhyped Sedona experience. Too hot And too many people in the town. AC WAS VERY GOOD..

The Cliffs has been recently renovated and it’s gorgeous. Every room has a spectacular room with a balcony, inside is a fireplace, comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom. The location is spectacular—they are affiliated by L’Auberge, but honestly those rooms are down in the valley while the Cliffs are super high up with (have I mentioned?) the views. Also, by being up at the top you are less than a minute from all the restaurants and shops in the tourist part of Sedona. Even if we didn’t want to hike, a weekend in the balcony would be worth it. However! We did want to visit the rocks. Coming in July we did our research and knew to get out early. Unfortunately, they have a required “valet” service (you park your own car, they keep your keys) who don’t start until 7 am..or later. There was no way to get our keys, no one answered the phone, the Auberge front desk person and one security guy tried but they couldn’t find anyone to help. We sat there for an hour while the sun, and our tempers, rose. They dropped us off at a place (beautiful, but not what we had planned) so I don’t know when the valet showed up. All I know is the next morning the valet wasn’t there even at 9 am. It put a huge damper on our trip and our enthusiasm for the place. Bottom line—stay there! The hotel is great, views, location, comfort. But keep your keys, refuse to accept the mandatory valet or you’ll be stuck there for hours.
