Arroyo Roble Resort at Oak Creek

Loved our stay at Arroyo Roble. This is my 3rd time exchanging here. The key to this resort is the ability to walk up the hill and be in Uptown Sedona. It also has beautiful areas to sit right on Oak Creek. We staying in a 2 bedroom unit. 2 floors - bedrooms upstairs. It had 3 balconies and 2 fireplaces! It also had a full kitchen and washer/dryer in unit. The units have been refurbished. New furniture and other things. We had a few maintenance issues. We called the front desk and they sent folks to deal with them right away. Very responsive and friendly staff. I recommend the Mariposa restaurant for lunch on the patio - so you can see the views (and prices are a bit more reasonable). Definitely need to make a reservation and there is a dress code. The Open Range restaurant has a great patio with heaters at night - good Prickly Pear Margarita's and nachos with Chorizo. Pink Jeep tour still my favorite thing to do. Broken Arrow tour is the best. We also took the Premier Grand Canyon tour with Pink Jeep. It was fabulous.

This is a very nice resort in a great location in beautiful Sedona. About 2 hours from Phoenix and 2 hours from the Grand Canyon. Stayed in 2 bedroom unit. Very clean. Everything in unit was in excellent condition. Deserving of RCI Gold Star rating. Staff very kind and helpful. Big drawback is that they have started charging for an activity fee, whether you use any of the amenities or not. Now sit down before you continue to read this. Though they do have nice amenities, the cost is $20 + tax, which comes to just under $23 A DAY. That is almost $160 for the week! If that doesn't bother you, then this is the place to stay on a trip to Sedona

The "customer service" needs better training (specifically the smaller stature woman named Zee, who often works evenings). She is uninformed and doesn't know the policies. She was also very disrespectful to my adult daughter and her friends. We have overlooked her unhelpfulness every other time we have come in the past year or two, in an attempt to be gracious. She needs training in "customer" service, time share policies, and respecting the owners and their families. (*We have a handful of family members who also annually use their time share ownership weeks, and they all feel the same about how unhelpful Zee is. If you have any desire to validate and actually get the "pulse" of the owners, I would encourage you to put out a survey to all owners and ask about their recent experiences with the front desk staff.) It's too bad- we have come here for almost a decade and prior front desk staff was always so friendly and helpful.

We were on a family vacation to Sedona with our two teenage daughters. It was our first time in Sedona. Arroyo Roble was in a perfect location with restaurants, bars, and shopping within walking distance. The unit was perfect for us. With two bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, living room, dining room, and kitchen, there was plenty of space for privacy and to sit together as a family. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful with recommendations. Pool and game area was also very nice especially after a hot day out seeing the sights!
