Captain Nickels Inn

The inn is a meticulously restored gem of a property on a delightful stretch of the mid coast of Maine. Searsport is a self-sufficient village that is within a short drive of many of Maine's popular destinations. The staff has a grasp on all of the areas attractions and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was both relaxing and exciting. The breakfasts were a daily celebration of start of another glorious day on the bay.

We saw this beautiful Inn when we were passing through Spearsport ME. 6 years ago on vacation from Ohio. We were taken in by how unique it was and met the owner who happened to be outside. . She was so very hospitable and told us her plans for Inn that she had recently purchased. We told her we would love to come back one day. We did! It was all I had expected and more! A perfect place to celebrate our 55th anniversary. We highly recommend it! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My husband and I returned to our honeymoon spot...Searsport and Captain Nickels Inn for our wedding anniversary. The Inn is absolutely wonderful in everyway. In keeping with the history of the house it has the perfect blend of historic charm and modern facilities. I booked one of their spacious suites, The Elizabeth, which was decorated beautifully. The homecooked breakfasts every morning are 5-Star delicious I can't pick a favorite! The Inn Tavern is a great place to chat and have a cocktail with other guests or play a game of cards before heading out to dinner. Check-in and check-out is easy-peasy. The Innkeeper and her staff are so friendly, welcoming and helpful in everyway; they truly make you feel right at home and like family. We had a terrific 5 day stay, met some fabulous fellow guests and loved every minute of our stay. The Inn is a hidden gem. We have already booked for 2026!

This is a wonderful B&B. The accommodations are comfortable, sparkling clean, and beautiful! The staff is so welcoming, friendly, and helpful at giving suggestions for other activities and destinations in the area. We have stayed here three times. If you are searching for a comfortable stay in a beautiful setting with delicious food you have found the perfect place here.

Captain Nickels Inn was beautiful. The welcoming texts leading up to our stay were great! The bedroom (we were in the Harriet room) was very comfortable and cozy- we slept so well here. Everything was clean and staff and other guests all friendly. The breakfasts were amazing (strawberry griddle cakes and breakfast tacos while we were there) A lovely place to stay while in the area!

This inn is gorgeous! From the beautiful historic details restored with skill and kept with care to the luxurious linens and homemade breakfasts you will be impressed with every bit! The location is peaceful. Its oversized side porch, balconies and decks overlook a sweeping lawn down to the ocean. The Inn is within a small town but just a quick drive to Belfast and can’t miss sites. Perhaps the best feature though is the Inn Keeper (and staff). She is kind and helpful and finds the perfect balance between friendly and professional.
