Element Scottsdale at SkySong

Friendly staff. Love the eco-themed decor, including the bamboo keycard. Decent gym with weights, resistance machines and a few cardio machines. Breakfast was acceptable–no worse than other 4-star hotels in the US, but nothing spectacular. At least they offered metal cutlery, instead of the plastic cutlery and paper plates which are so common in hotels in the US.

A great hotel in a nice neighbourhood - short drive from scottsdale old town

Beautiful hotel. Breakfast was great in the morning. Rooms was clean and spacious. Being able to grab a fresh apple as I ran out the door was a nice treat too. The cons - why would you put a down comforter that is the thickness of two down comforters on a bed in Phoenix?! It didn’t matter how high we turned that AC up, we were uncomfortable all night. The bed itself was way too soft and sagged in the middle too.

*WARNING* DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! Not unless you’re seeking out a defamation case, and to be forced out of your room at 6 in the morning for something you did not do. Absolute TRASH of a hotel experience. The manager of whom I have added a photo of is the most rude and dismissive person I have ever met who works in the service Industry. My wife has health issues and is now in the hospital due to how this man treated her. DO NOT STAY HERE! DO NOT STAY HERE!

Only stayed one night on our way further north. Staff was very friendly. Appreciated complimentary hot coffee and tea being available in the evening as well as an early breakfast. Room had a full kitchen! We had no need/use but what a great amenity. This is a new/unfamiliar brand , but now that it is on our radar, we will look for other Element hotels when traveling.

Nice modern, quiet property. We moved here after a bad experience in the Old Town area of Scottsdale and although a ways away from the shopping and dining areas of central Scottsdale, it offers a quiet, comfortable stay. Only downside during this stay is almost every food item wasn’t available - apparently they are changing the menu. Not really acceptable because there are no other restaurants nearby without driving. We wanted a light dinner without leaving the hotel. Plenty of on street parking if you don’t want to pay for parking.

This is a nice hotel that is well kept and fairly close to downtown Scottsdale. We got a 2 queen room and it was very clean and the shower had a sliding door and plenty of water pressure. The bathroom was spacious and the sink worked well. This was better than the Element Sedona in every way. We got our room quickly and there were no service issues. The AC worked very well and there is a large TV in the corner to watch television. The kitchen has a sink, 2 burner stovetop and full size fridge. There is a good amount of space in the room and the beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The sheets were soft as well. The breakfast was good although the eggs are made in batches meaning sometimes you have to wait. The English muffins included several types on jams in jars and not just throwaway plastic packets like at most hotels. The coffee was always kept up and I never had to wait for it to be filled. It was on a quiet location and I didn't hear any street noise. I do wish they didn't charge for parking as you park right outside the hotel. The pool was broken when we arrived but it looked nice and I heard it was heated which was good.

We have been to the Elements in Bend Oregon and the bar was raised pretty by our experience at that location for other Elements hotels. Elements in Scottsdale SkySong was clean modern. However, the daily breakfast was not at par with the Bend location. At the bend location, there was a board displayed every morning on what was being made by the cook which had a variety of dishes from avocado toast with poached eggs to kale over eggs with potatoes. The SkySong did not and it was pretty much eggs served scrambled or omelette style every morning when they had a cook working. There was minimal variety and no signage on what was being offered from the cook. Not as advertised in the photos! Also room did not have a working TV!
