This charming 4-bedroom home in Schroon Lake is just a 15-minute walk from downtown and to the lake. It once served as the town's doctor's office, belonging to a Dr. Sawyer. You’ll notice a few quirks like the unique layout and office buzzers. It sparks imagination about how the doctor lived and practiced here. Your private apartment is one of two apartments in the building, and we live in the other in the fall, winter, and spring. You'll have a private entrance, private deck, and the side yard all to yourself. LIVING SPACES - A spacious living room has a smart TV and plenty of room for an air mattress (available upon request) making this apartment suitable for up to 6 guests. The living room has an AC unit powerful enough to cool all the living spaces. The screen porch and deck are perfect hangout spots for your vacation - enjoy the fresh air without the mosquitos!! On the deck, relax in our Adirondack rockers next to a smokeless fire pit in the evening, or watch the town go by with your coffee in the mornings. Fast wifi will meet all your working and entertainment needs!BEDROOMS - The main bedroom has a comfortable king bed, bedroom number 2 has two twin beds. All linens and towels are provided, and extra blankets for all are in the closets. Both bedrooms have window air conditioning units. BATHROOM - features a custom tile shower by a local Adirondack artisan and a free washer/dryer. KITCHEN/DINING - enjoy preparing meals in the fully outfitted kitchen (fridge, stove, oven, toaster oven, coffee maker, pots and pans, utensils), and eat at our unique dining table, also made by a local artisan.
