Courtyard Schenectady at Mohawk Harbor

We booked a Friday and Saturday night 8/16 & 8/16 $790.00 price is higher on weekend. Room was clean, check in was pleasant. We went out Sat, came back to no change of towels and bed not made. It turns out they only do every house keeping every other day! I called front desk and then asked for towels they brought 2 bath towels but no face cloths or hand towels. Not the kind of service I was expecting.

A horrible experience. I arrived at this location on Saturday June 22. Walking to my room I was a little disappointed with the cleanliness of the halls and common areas. I got to the room. There was hair in the bathroom, The sink did not drain and overall the room was not very clean. As I was getting ready to go to sleep in my room I looked up and Is saw 25 to 50 fifty bugs on the ceiling. I called the desk and the associate came right up to address my issue and had to move my room. We thoroughly inspected the second room and did not find anything that night. When I woke up , there was a tick or a spider on the ceiling directly above the bed. I took the bug to the desk. When I went to return to the room there was a huge bug on the Panel to the elevator which I showed to the front desk associate. I have repeatedly (daily) asked for the manager to call me and 8 days later he has failed to do so. He sent me an email Wednesday, which did not address the issues. Corporate has also not responded I am surprised to have had such issues at a Marriott property and to find the general manager so unresponsive. I would recommend staying clear of this location.

Nice hotel near the waterfront. Service was good. The bed very comfy. Room service was every two days. Parking was free. They had an indoor pool with no towels and not heated. Two laundry rooms ~1.7.5 per dry per wash. They serve starbucks, breakfast, and lunch. Breakfast is not complementary and in fact pretty expensive. Breakfast burrito $11. Bowl of oatmeal $7. Free parking and I enjoyed my stay. 30 min walk to downtown. 6 min walk to river ******.

I picked this property on a whim for a last-minute roadtrip overnight. And I'm really glad that I did. I stay a lot of nights at hotels, and the staff here were some of the friendliest I've ever experienced! Special shoutout to Brittany, who couldn't have been sweeter while I was waiting for the lobby coffee to brew at 6am! Mohawk Harbor is a little planned community, and has a really fun wine bar just down the block from the hotel with great food. The hotel also has a decent-looking lobby spot for dinner/drinks and breakfast. I also managed to buy some wine from the mini-mart at reception, which was surprisingly good too! Clean room, firm bed, fast enough wifi, and the shower was hot. Bedding could have been a little more plush for the price, but I'll still book it again when I'm passing through.

We stayed here for five nights in April. Knowing that this was a relatively new hotel, I was expecting it to be fabulous. The hotel was fine, but there were some rather surprising features that made us raise our eyebrows. The first impression of the room is good. But there is no fan in the bathroom. The bathroom molding is poorly done. The windows are not well insulated - so on the first night when it was windy, there was a draft in the room. And most significantly, the electrical sockets are not secure against the wall. My Apple watch ended up not charging because, although I charged it overnight, the weight of the plug caused the electrical socket to pull away from the wall. Difficult to believe that this is a new hotel. The bathroom is large and there is more than enough space for toiletries. The water pressure in the shower could be better. The beds are super comfortable. The final thing that could be improved in breakfast. Breakfast is outrageously expensive. More importantly, they finish serving coffee at 9:30! But do not despair, Drothers is just around the corner and serves a good breakfast. For a Marriott, I was hoping for a more positive experience.

What could have been an enjoyable stay turned out to be a disappointing one. Unfortunately I left my coat in the closet of our room. I didn't realize it until 2 hrs after checkout and called right away. I was informed by guest services that it would addressed immediately and someone would get back to me which no one did. The lack of concern was disheartening. After calling 3 days in a row, speaking to several people including 2 managers getting one excuse after another I was told my coat was not recovered, no one turned it in and they did not have it!!! ( If I left a sock I may have had a better chance getting it back) that's what I was told by Jason the manager that his employees would turn in a sock if they found it. Sure they would who wants a sock!!!! I guess a nice coat doesn't warrant turning in. If u decide to stay at this hotel keep in mind that if u accidentally leave anything of value behind know that u will not see it again. This hotel employs "Dishonest Employees" shame on them. The real shame is it affects the Marriott's reputation.

A new hotel so it's clean and has good updated features. I did enjoy the layout of the room. Large shower and spacious room. We stayed here for a wedding so we were not in the room very much. It was probably about a 10-15 minute walk to the ******, all on sidewalks. There are a couple of restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Easy free parking onsite. Clean/modern hotel, would stay again.

Large clean room. Modern and big bathroom. I did get a room facing the road and on the first night. I was awakened by the train at 3:26 am. The front desk night staff was very nice and helpful. Convenient to have s Starbucks in the lobby. Close to the ****** and a few restaurants. Next to the marina. Easy to take nice walks by the water. Really enjoyed my stay.

I arrived at the hotel in a late night during my way back from Canada in June. As a Marriott member, I chose this hotel because the complementary benefits that I can receive as a gold elite member who have stayed with Marriott for many nights a year. However, I neither received the 2 complementary bottles of water (requested but refused) nor received any complementary upgrade. The service was cold and room was outdated. Will find somewhere else the next time.
