"A hotel with an excellent location and very friendly staff. The beautiful view over Copacabana and the service on the beach make the experience extra special.
However, the room (906) was disappointing in terms of soundproofing. Due to the special layout, I could hear my neighbors - even their conversations - very well, which disturbed my sleep considerably. I subtly indicated this at the reception, but no solution was offered, possibly because the hotel was fully booked.
In addition, I found it striking that coffee in the room was for a fee. Although I hardly drink coffee myself and certainly not in a hotel room, this still detracted from the experience. In a five-star hotel you expect this to be a standard service, especially considering the room price. A filled minibar is understandable, but coffee and tea should be a given.
All in all, recommended for those who are not sensitive to noise, but the hotel could invest in better soundproofing and a more hospitable policy regarding basic facilities."
