"Not the best location but definitely worth the money. Best value for money, ideal for travellers, very clean and hygienic. Highly recommended for backpackers looking for eco and budget stays, it’s a no brainer! Would pick the same place if I were to come back again!"

"We had a caravan. Accommodated as requested next to other family with a camper trailer in the camping section. The grounds were extremely clean, neat and tidy. The bathrooms and toilets were always clean and well maintained. Camp kitchen well stocked. Large camp fridge available and a TV. Saturday afternoon sausage sizzle in camp kitchen. Pool clean and tidy. Everything was clean and tidy. Staff friendly ++++. Other family stayed in cabin. Plenty of room and again clean and tidy. 1km walk to beach. Or drive. We stayed for Hervey Bay Tri series. Staff allowed us to stay longer after the Sunday morning race and pack up later in the day. Thank you. "

"Absolutely well thought out and comfortable experience. The host is really friendly and all the small touches go a long way into making this place comfortable, there is free water, plenty of towels, a/c, hot chocolate machine, barista coffee machine, a fully equipped kitchen that we can use if we want to. Plenty of complimentary tea and coffee available all day. The breakfast is lovely, so many different options, its not cooked, its more like a selection of fruit and bread, but there are eggs and pancake mix available to make your own and then you just put everything in the dishwasher its super easy. Im sure the host would happily make it for you if you asked. It was a really comfy spacious room, and we had everything we needed. Washing machine and clothes drying rack also available for free. Plenty of parking too. I would highly recommend this place, you can tell the owner takes great pride in offering such a well thought out and comfortable place to stay. Its really lovely and its something you don’t see very often nowadays. Thank you for a lovely stay!"

"I stayed in the 3 bed cabin. Very clean. The service was great. The lady came to check if everything was ok and if we wanted to change cabin as we had a kid but it was fine. Great location. Walking distance to beach and nice pubs and cafes."

Tasman Holiday Parks - Hervey Bay ★★★
"We stayed here in an economy cabin over the Easter weekend. Firstly I was stoked to find an accommodation option that didn’t charge min 4/5 days for the long weekend and appreciated TPHB allowed us to stay for the long weekend only. Our cabin sleeps 4, with a single bunk bed for kids and a queen size bed available. The cabin was very spacious and well kept. Ample cutlery and crockery for cooking with a stove and microwave. The shower was cosy-small but still good nonetheless. The only issue was our bathroom bin hadn’t been emptied from the previous guests. The little verandah at the doorway was cute and overlooked the pool and kitchen area, only a short 15m walk, making a great cabin option for families where supervision of the kids can be maintained just from the verandah! Go for cabins 4-7 for pool access/views and cabins 7-11 for more privacy and quiet away from the pool area. We really liked how the cabins were separate from the van sites. Traffic in the park could flow both directions however was a little narrow and could be an issue with vans however we didn’t experience this issue. There is no playground for kids which was a let down for us with younger kids, as the games area was usually occupied by older kids with attitudes. The service we received from booking confirmations to check-in and check out was friendly, down to earth and happy. Overall we enjoyed our stay, it was quiet given the Easter holidays and we didn’t hear any road traffic noise during our stay. I’d recommend this park to anyone seeking a quiet park and needing cabin accommodation."

"Good points….Easy check-in with clear instructions. Plenty of parking (on street). Huge TV with Netflix. Well presented breakfast table with lovely crockery. fresh bread and fruit each day. Comfortable (firm) bed. Great location close to beach cafes and restaurants. Quiet during our stay. Not so good points…room only superficially clean lots of dust. Bathroom very narrow and lacked privacy due to the glass wall upon which hung a pointless net curtain. Rancid smell in bathroom coming from shower drain. No hospitality at all from owner/manager. Breakfast lacking in variety 38 jams and a plethora of cereal just doesn’t make a good breakfast in my opinion. The windows in the room didn’t open nor were they clear glass so the room felt claustrophobic. Finally….its expensive and not good value for money an apartment with balcony and sea view on the Esplanade would cost no more. This is an honest review of how I found Freshwater but realise it’s totally subjective what I didn’t like may not worry others. Won’t be back and obviously wouldn’t recommend."
