McMillan Inn

From the moment I was greeted by Anna, I knew my stay at the McMillan Inn was going to be something special — and it truly was. The care and attention I received throughout my visit were beyond anything I expected. The entire staff — Emmie (who made the most perfect poached eggs), Irma, Kathy, Ashley, and the owners— made me feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. As someone with a few dietary restrictions(Gluten free, casein free), I was especially grateful for the thoughtful effort the staff put into my breakfast each morning. They didn’t just accommodate me — they went out of their way to make sure I felt cared for. The inn itself is a gem — a stunning 18th-century home with decor that’s both historically rich and warmly inviting. My room was kept clean and comfortable every single day, and every corner of the house made me feel like I’d stepped back in time in the best way. The location was also ideal. Just a few minutes’ walk to Forsyth Park, the riverfront, and a variety of incredible restaurants. I only needed to take an Uber twice — the airport and again for a short trip to Tybee Island (about 20 minutes away). The rest of the time, I was happily walking. Even on the cobblestone streets, I managed just fine in my flats or kitty heels! Everything I wanted to see — historic squares, charming architecture, and wonderful dining — was within easy reach. In short, I have absolutely nothing but great things to say about the McMillan Inn. The service, the setting, the location — all were truly exceptional. I’m already looking forward to my return.

This was an excellent place to stay. Very historical in the historical district and close to Forsythe Park. Highly recommend to anyone especially if this is your first time to Savannah. The owners and staff go all out to keep up on the Inn. Clean rooms and great breakfast each day at 9:15 and they serve on time and work around and food allergys. Very accomidating all around. We stayed in the Laffyette room which was at ground level and nice and easy access to the street. We highly reccond the Wexford Itish pub, Crystal Beer Palace, The Collins Quarters and The Treylor Park Diner. Tim with Wise Guys Tours for Boneventure Cemetery. Very knowledgeable and highly recommended tour if you can get Tim, well worth it. No need to have a car at the McMillian Inn as everything is within walking distance. We did get a Lyft driver a few times after much walking all day. Ensure you bring and wear very comfortable walking shoes. Quite a bit of uneven sidewalks (fyi) If you plan on visiting the St. John the Baptist Cathedral ( highly recommend) just be aware of mass times or other events. We were lucky to see as afterwards there were graduations. Anna, Emma and Josh were very great to deal with at the Mcmillian Inn before (emails) and during. I hope review helps many.

My sister and I spent four days at the beautiful McMillan Inn. Our room was well appointed with a fireplace, four poster bed, and many charming antiques. To say that the breakfast at McMillan Inn was delicious is an understatement! Every morning we looked forward to a very well presented and sumptuous breakfast.Now we must tell you about Melissa and Eric the proprietors. We felt like we were visiting family. They were gracious, caring , and very helpful with hints to make getting around Savannah optimal. Eric even drew us a map to help us with directions to get us on the right road for our trip back home. If you are traveling to Savannah, staying at the Mc Millan Inn will make your stay memorable as it did ours.
