This is a park near the filming site of 🎬【Forrest Gump】. It is similar to a B&B style hotel, a single-family villa, and the facilities are very classic and old-fashioned British style. But the service here makes you feel at home, and every member is very friendly and enthusiastic ❤️🔥. There is also a large balcony, where I have a great sleep quality. So I stayed for a few more days. Although it is a little expensive (on average, more than 300 US dollars a night, and twice as much on weekends.), I think it is worth it. The breakfast is also super delicious, especially the cookies are super delicious😋

The Gastonian staff, especially Caitlyn who helped us check in, were outstanding and gave true definition to the phrase “southern hospitality.” On-site parking put my anxieties at ease, and all the lovey amenities (wine, snacks, dessert, and delicious breakfast) were excellent finishing touches to our first time stay in Savannah. It truly felt like an all-star staff and location. Imagine waking up to a fulfilling breakfast before strolling through the nearby legendary Forsyth Park. The location in general really cannot be overstated. We were able to take a quick stroll to the Mercer-Williams house after nightfall, and even in the rain, just walking in the area was like being in a movie. I heard so much hype about the river district, but after experiencing north of Oglethorpe and finding it too touristy, this really was the PRIME location for that rumored Savannah vibe I was in search of.

The moment to arrive at the door you know your experience will be special. From the check-in ease, the help with bags and available soft drinks to the beautiful room accommodations, it just got better. Furnishings reflected a period of grand elegance. Breakfast was delicious. Served by Lynn and Noel, you felt you were truly their guests. Then…it’s wine and appetizers at 5:30 and sweets and port at 8…absolutely delightful.

Beautiful historic inn with lovely decor and a great in town location. The staff was absolutely fantastic and made many efforts to make guest feel welcome and well cared for at all times during out stay, We were very pleased. Definitely worth a stay!

Beautiful rooms and a great experience. Breakfast was excellent, everyone was so friendly and we were impressed by the extras like happy hour with hors d'oeuvres and dessert with port wine! Would love to come back and stay longer.

We had the pleasure of staying in the Jean Pierre Lafayette room at The Gastonian on Friday, June 6. Our regret is we didn't have more time to spend there. Walter greeted us at the street next to the hotel and we were immediately at ease. He is absolutely awesome! So friendly, professional and amazing demeanor! He grabbed our luggage and showed us where to check in. We entered the hotel in the back of the building which has beautiful gardens and a lovely deck, lots of seating with a patio, and a spiral staircase. Kennedy checked us in and shared details of what we could expect during our brief stay which included wine and hors d'oeuvres that evening and breakfast in the morning. All the food was so delicious! Courtney, Lynn, and all the staff provided OUTSTANDING customer service and it felt personable. The hotel is so lovely, and our room was spacious and very comfortable. We hope to have the opportunity to return very soon as we HIGHLY recommend The Gastonian! 💜

This was the perfect place for us to celebrate our 53rd anniversary! We booked the Oglethorpe Suite which had 2 rooms and a bathroom. It was located on the 3rd floor and had a king bed that was raised a bit. Our suite was beautifully decorated as were all the public areas. Breakfast was cooked to order from a menu they would give us each night to make our selections for the morning. There was a wine and appetizer social each afternoon and dessert each night. We were there for 3 nights & totally enjoyed staying there. Their staff was top notch. Parking is free which is a plus in downtown Savannah. An FYI - there were no elevators in the inn. We'd definitely stay here again!
