Sleep Inn Savannah Midtown

I booked a room over the phone on September 28 with the online reservation agent because my house was hit by Hurricane Helene and this hotel allows pets. I loaded up the family and the pets, and when we got to the hotel, there was a paper sign taped to the door that said the hotel was closed, no vacancies. The doors were locked, nobody was in the lobby, no staff to be found anywhere. There were a lot of other angry, bewildered families also trying to check in. I tried to call the number listed online and nobody answered. It was just endless hold music. The next day I called the number again, still endless hold music but this time there was an option to have somebody call you back. i selected that option but nobody called me back. Tried again the next day and finally spoke to someone named Henry. I told him the situation, they also tried to call the hotel, and nobody answered. They agreed not to charge me since they booked me into a closed hotel, but sure enough the next day the charges were on my card. I disputed it through my bank, so I'm definitely not paying the charge, but it just goes to show what a garbage organization this hotel and its affiliates are. We were never notified that the hotel was closed, they still allowed us to book a room, AND I was charged for it after they said I wouldn't be. I wish I could give it negative stars. I didn't actually get to go into the property, but from the outside it looked very sketchy. It's located behind a Chucky Cheese and there were people going in and out of the woods behind the hotel. Thanks for nothing, Sleep Inn Savannah Midtown!

The rooms are great has everything you need; the place is clean and comfy, and all employees are very nice and friendly. I'm actually staying for couple of months or more while working on a property and work-related issues. also, Izzy and April the manager are Great!

The hotel had a foul smell in the hallways and room itself. There was a college event happening and they were VERY disruptive. We call the office 4 times and no one answered. The hot water was not hot but rather just warm. Would NOT recommend…..

Extremely bad customer service and the manager didn't respond with the issues. The manager was very rude and disrespectful we were just asking him a question and responed rudely. Room was not clean and smells moisture. It's not locataed in a safe location and I was keeping sure I parked near the lights, because the crime rates are high and lot of homeless people around. I wouldn't suggest this hotel to anyone and I was really dissatisfied.

Less expensive than lodging in the historic district or beach yet centrally located to reach desired locations easily and quickly! This is our second stay here, rooms are large, clean and comfortable! Have microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer, etc to make things simpler. Complimentary hot breakfast available every morning was a plus! Plenty of parking and close to mall and other shopping. Management and staff were different from last year, yet still friendly and accommodating! Pre-October2021

I have to start by saying the Hotel is under renovations. I was assigned a new room. I was very doubtful at the beginning upon checking in but the stay was uneventful. Very quiet. Well lit parking. Good location in Midtown Savannah. Close to restaurants and shopping. Grocery store close by. The room was clean, hard floors with no carpeting. Comfortable beds. Rooms are a decent size. Breakfast was simple. I didn't ate. Only had coffee. The staff was very friendly they all say Hi to you when you go in and out of Hotel. Thanks, Mr. Troy for your suggestions, Jermaine for helping with my boxes and Brittney for been nice.

My wife and I thought we would get away for a 2 night getaway. We had looked at pictures of the suite before we booked the room. Very deceiving to say the least. We checked into room 200 on July 11, 2022. The room was definitely not as described. Also, the hotel is under major renovation until November. You will see by the attached pics of the room. Striker plate falling off main door, couch looked ragged. Chair was dirty long with carpet, bathroom light did no work...had lamp to light up, walls were dirty, no smoke detector in bedroom, Crystal's in side dresser along with burn marks... meth??? Obviously did not touch. Plus we were charged a 50.00 hold for incidentals and the front desk clerk said, you should see what the charge the locals. Hopefully this hotel will look much nicer after renovations. And to finish, they advertise a ho breakfast...if they call waffles and toast a hot breakfast....NOT. Women's bathroom was not being tended to in the 2 nights we were there. Could go on and on, but I am sure you all get the point.

I am a businessman, I travel more than I’d like too, was left no choice but to stay here, I tried to get out of this reservation once I entered my room, I ended up sleeping in my car! From the management to the owners, to the staff, you all should be ashamed of yourself for even keeping this hotel open, Remodeling won’t help! Everything about this poorly run, definitely not clean hotel is DISGUSTING! I was told they are rebranding by the front desk, so beware, remember the address!! They need to bulldoze the entire place and rebuild!! *****, *****, and lots of Bugs is what they should name this place!!!
