"In good faith we booked and paid full price up front for 4 nights, but left after only two. The hotel is in need of TLC. The wallpaper in our room was peeling away from the window and the TV was miniscule. The forecourt was in need of a good **** and the flower pot ashtrays were not emptied during our stay. Breakfast was included however it was regimentented by having to pre-order the night before and toast was rationed to one slice per person, "we allow one slice of toast per person" any more would cost 50p per slice. Is this really good practice? The bar would close after the last local left, guests were not considered. We knew the restaurant would be closed during our first two nights, but expected it to be open on the last two, not so. This was not communicated to us on arrival, was left to discover this at breakfast on the third morning and now disputed by the owner. Absolutely bizarre experience, don't pay up front! Known locally as Gawlty Towers. That says it all."

"We had such a wonderful stay at the Imperial Hotel from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome and looked after throughout our whole visit. A huge thank you to Ang, Sue, Josh and all of the service staff who were absolutely fantastic — so friendly, polite, attentive and genuinely delightful to be around. Their warm and professional service really made our stay extra special. The food was phenomenal, truly out of this world. Every meal was beautifully presented, full of flavour and easily some of the best food we’ve had in a long time. Compliments to the chefs and restaurant team for such an amazing dining experience. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable, and the bed was incredibly comfy which made for a perfect night’s sleep. It was clear that a lot of care and attention goes into making guests feel relaxed and at home. Thank you again to everyone at the Imperial Hotel for such a memorable stay. We thoroughly enjoyed every minute and cannot wait to return again soon. Highly recommended! x"

"Amy and Steve are lovely they will make u feel welcome steve even helps with the bags to the room free parking to second time for us this year took the grandkids this time they really enjoyed it there amy even give my granddaughter a lend of the surf borad bucket and spades there for u to use to just put them back in box at end of day. Amy cooks one of the best breakfast ever really tasty to nothing is to much trouble for them if u need anything for the room more clean towels bins changed its done straight away definitely be returning again "
