Sandman Signature Saskatoon South Hotel

Good afternoon Just wanted to give some feedback from my three day’s stay at your facility. Your facility needs some work with regards to the cleanliness of the rooms, hallways and entrances, my mother in fact had your manager up to her suite to show the state of what the room was in, lamp shades dirty, chaise lounge with what looks like bodily fluid stains, air conditioner filter plugged with debris, floors and carpets very dirty. My niece who got married over the weekend was walking around in her parents room and within a short time period her feet were black from the floor being so dirty, after seeing this shoes were worn always. We as a family spent a considerable amount of money at your hotel and attached restaurants over our stay for my nieces wedding and we expected better, I have stayed in a number of Sandman facilities in Edmonton and Calgary and have never experienced this type of unclean rooms, and general areas, with very dirty elevators, no towels in the pool area and when you start the jets in the hot tub you get a 4–6-inch layer of foam in the hot tub, this foam is caused by oils/dead skin and shows that the water is in poor condition. There was no television as the cable network supplied was not working so for my three day stay I had television for the first night then nothing for the remaining two days, front desk was mostly unreachable, and you had to make several calls to get a response. This all falls on management and supervisors not keeping up on standards outlined by Sandman, if the housekeeping supervisor is monitoring his/her employees and holding them accountable to Sandman’s standards I would not be writing this email. Paid nearly 300 for a toilet that wouldn't flush (tank did not fill with water was empty when arrived) and I had no time to get rooms switched. The desk had residue under the glass, white streak stain on chair cushion, very gross, bathroom caulking and drywall gross. Water took a long time to get to temp nearly burnt myself trying to get it stable, shouldn't even be able to get that hot. I've years of housekeeping experience and this was by far one of the worst hotel rooms I've stayed in and not because of the housekeeping, but because of POOR MAINTENANCE. Thankfully the only thing I felt okay with was the bedding. No hair, you could tell it was all freshly changed. Pillows and bed were comfortable. But that's it. Oh ya, almost forgot and not sure how, the AC was ridiculous. At 17°c and feeling cold air coming out all night, the room should have been freezing. It barely altered the temperature and I don't even know how that's possible! Was not okay at all for the price. Definitely OVERPRICED. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, AND WILL NOT RETURN. Sad, because I'm honestly not that hard to impress when it comes to hotels.

Hands down the best hotel stay in Saskatoon! Maybe not the ideal hotel for young kids but certainly the best option for adult travellers, couples, business, etc.. I travel for work and as a solo female traveller this hotel staff goes above and beyond to make my stay feel safe and secure. The pool area is beautiful and has a modern spa feel. This will always be my preferred choice when the price is right!
