酒店的早餐很不錯，對面有一個較大的停車場免費停車，房間挺乾淨，前台工作人員熱情有禮。就是酒店位置手機信號不好。

Wir haben erneut einen tollen Aufenthalt im "Engel" genossen und werden mit Sicherheit wieder kommen. Vom Zimmer über das Morgenessen bis zum Abendessen... ein wahrer Genuss!

Es war nicht der erste Besuch im Engel. Meist kommen wir zur gleichen Zeit im Jahr, daher fiel uns auf, dass sich auf der Speisekarte wenig änderte, sogar der gleiche Gruß aus der Küche wurde offeriert. Das Essen hatte seine Qualität, aber es fehlte dieses Mal irgendwie das gewisse Extra, um das m. E. mittlerweile hohe Preisniveau zu rechtfertigen. Schade ist auch, dass wenig Auswahl bzw. Abwechslung für Vegetarier geboten wird. Wenn man dann noch mit der Servicekraft diskutieren muss, aus welchen Zutaten und Gerichten die Vorspeise des Engelmenüs (steht so schon seit Jahren auf der Karte) besteht, nimmt das ein gewisses Gschmäckle an mit einem faden Nachgeschmack. Wir kommen gerne wieder, wenn sich mal wieder Überraschungen auf der Speisekarte entdecken lassen.

They still exist. Those family run, top quality, with love to detail, proud of their work places. Engel in Sasbachwalden is one of those places. It is my 2nd time here. Despite being here for business, I enjoyed the local Black Forest atmosphere. Sasbachwalden and the Hotel Engel are perfectly located at the “entrance” to the amazing Black Forest. I guess the hotel has around 20 rooms, a fab restaurant and a breakfast that is so far ahead in quality of what you get in those big hotel boxes. The owner is the chef, was checking us in and suggested to stay for dinner. What a great choice. Top quality, nice wines and amazing service. The rooms are nice, some have balcony’s and they are designed with the traveler in mind. Wish I could give 10 points, Engel would deserve it. I will be back next week, for staying and entertaining customers. Already looking forward to it.

Sehr freundliches Personal, wir hatten ein modernes und großes Zimmer, alles sauber und hochwertig, Frühstück top Qualität und Auswahl, Halbpension 4 Gänge (2 Vor, 1 Haupt, 1 Dessert) in überragender Qualität (Sterneniveau) und am Ende Preis/Leistung Top. Wir kommen wieder.

Wir hatten eine kleine Auszeit mit 2 Übernachtungen gebucht. Schon die Begrüßung war äußerst herzlich und man hat sich als Gast gleich willkommen gefühlt. Das Hotel hat keinerlei Investitionsstau - man ist in einem historischen Haus mitten in Sasbachwalden und hat doch allen modernen Komfort. Die Küche im Hotel Engel ist exzellent - für uns ist der Engel die absolut beste Adresse in Sasbachwalden. Auffallend war, dass vorwiegend mit örtlichem Personal gearbeitet wird - das gesamte Personal war super freundlich und man spürte das gute Miteinander. Wir kommen wieder nach Sasbachwalden - und immer wieder gerne in den Engel.

We stay at hotel Engel for two nights…and wanted to stay more nights ! This is an amazing gem in Sasbachwalden, where you will receive friendly and attentive service from some amazing staff…a service rarely seen in Europe! (And we travel a lot). The food is really great, both breakfast and dinner, and can be highly recommended too. The building is pure german charm and our room was absolutely amazing with a nice terrasse. This is a must-vist gem and we will fore sure be back next year!
