The staff was so kind and helpful. We left something in our room and the housekeeper ran after us to our car as we were pulling out to return it to us. Dinner and breakfast was delicious.

This was my third visit to the hotel. As usual, the dining and amenities were outstanding, the staff was very friendly, and the service was top rate. I will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful little hotel with modern/updated rooms and amenities. Excellent restaurant with wonderful meals (breakfast with cook-to-order eggs, etc. dinner with uniquie and custom chef-prepared local fare).

Beautiful hotel and town. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. The beds were comfy and the hotel was immaculate. We had fantastic meals at Hotel Engel. Our dinner was the best of our trip! Breakfast was delicious as well.

They still exist. Those family run, top quality, with love to detail, proud of their work places. Engel in Sasbachwalden is one of those places. It is my 2nd time here. Despite being here for business, I enjoyed the local Black Forest atmosphere. Sasbachwalden and the Hotel Engel are perfectly located at the “entrance” to the amazing Black Forest. I guess the hotel has around 20 rooms, a fab restaurant and a breakfast that is so far ahead in quality of what you get in those big hotel boxes. The owner is the chef, was checking us in and suggested to stay for dinner. What a great choice. Top quality, nice wines and amazing service. The rooms are nice, some have balcony’s and they are designed with the traveler in mind. Wish I could give 10 points, Engel would deserve it. I will be back next week, for staying and entertaining customers. Already looking forward to it.
