I'll give it 2 stars overall. There are some positives and some downsides.
Negatives - we paid extra for a 'premium room', but it was quite small, it didn't have a view of the valley (despite the room description) and it smelt terrible - it wasn't the toilet, which was a separate room, but the smell of drains came from the bathroom. There is a suggestion that you can walk into Sarlat town, but you really can't. I was willing to walk 1-2 miles, but it is further than that and VERY steep, so don't even think about it! The room was on the ground floor and had a small garden, though it wasn't private.
Positives - The terrace area is lovely and has a great view for breakfast (which is quite reasonable). This is what saved it for us. We had one evening meal there and it was very nice, but the menu is quite restricted / specialist and we had to eat out the other 3 nights we stayed there. I think somebody fancies himself as a Michelin chef. The outside area was very nice - the pool area was very relaxing.

Fantastic location
Lovely quiet location looking over the valley. Unfortunately, it was very wet so we weren’t able to enjoy sitting outside on the terrace which looked a wonderful space. Very crazy to drive down into Sarlat.

Beautiful property! Good dining option. However, we could not control our air conditioning/heating making the room extra humid. The corner wall by the bed is covered in mildew. Our outside table was filled with cigarette butts. The blow dryer should be replaced with a quality one. Lighting in the bathroom needs improvement. Would also appreciate a refrigerator and a top sheet on the bed.

This hotel is tired and needs a little updating, lacking staff, and noisy. Our room was a superior room with one chair only, a tired table with tea and coffee facilities BUT no milk and insufficient sugar. The shower was very slippery and dangerous to get out. Tiles need a good clean. Very disappointing stay.

C'est la première fois que nous y passons une nuit avec diner et petit déjuner. Très bon accueil, belle chambre avec accès extérieur. Repas pris à la terrasse du restaurant avec belle vue et cigales comme compagnies. Les plats sont joliement présenté de l'amuse bouche au dessert. Petit déjeuner copieu avec du choix. Bravo à l'ensemble du personnel de : l'accueil en passant par la cuisine, le service, femme de ménage et jardinier....

Une expérience extraordinaire nous avons passé 8 jours dans cette hôtel pour notre anniversaire de mariage 49 ans et franchement nous y retournerons avec bonheur un propriétaire au petit soins une hôtesse très avenante et toujours à l’écoute une équipe en salle au top avec un chef de cuisine très inventif avec des recettes goûteuse très bien présenter et un pâtissier avec de l’imagination et très bien décoré je suis moi même d’une maman chef cuisinière et d’un frère chef cuisinier et je peux vous dire allez les yeux fermés dans cette hôtel venez découvrir leur restaurant très beau et très bien situé avec une magnifique terrasse panoramique sur la Dordogne au calme que pouvons nous dire ha oui Merci Merci et encore Merci pour toutes votre gentillesse nous pensons y retourner en janvier pour la fête de la truffe pour découvrir la Dordogne sous un autre angle que cette belle région nous réserve encore de belles surprises

Très bel établissement, au calme et dans la verdure. Magnifique vue de la chambre, très reposante. Excellent petit déjeuner : pain, viennoiseries, yahourts locaux et de qualité. Une bien belle découverte à recommander.
