A very lovely place that I will recommend 100%. The room was very nice and cosy. Food was epic. Special mention goes to Erind. He was always cheerful and eager to help us. And Muhammed from Reception was very helpful. The two made our stay special and we apriciate them. However there was always a smell of live chickens in the elevator, they should improve on that

Ok so after travelling through amazing Albania we finally arrived to Saranda for 4 nights at the seaside. Ok don't expect a warm welcome at the 4 star hotel.Apollon. The world over I have never had such a bad welcome to a hotel.... reception staff..we met 3....never a smile, never a nice welcome.... everything too much trouble. On arrival in a 4 star hotel...do I really have to.insist 4 times to receptionist that safety deposit box does not work !!!! Eventually she brought us the key from reception, agreed it didn't work so we had the key for whole stay. I asked to change from delux room with seaview as I was worried about safety deposit box but was shown a pathetic alternative. So we stayed in first room. Best thing about the hotel Apollon ??? The sea view from our room..Eli the waiter at breakfast, amazing....always a smile and nothing too much trouble. I told him this morning he should be the hotel receptionist !!! Very nice guy, give him a pay rise. Very disappointed in hotel....maybe 2 star....room and bathroom clean but shower doors very mucky and unhygienic. After 4 star hotels around Albania that were out of this world , The Apollon was pretty sad. Try harder if you live from tourism....I work in tourism...a smile is a necessity....

Overall, our stay went very well. The hotel has good facilities, but I noticed some details that could be improved: there was a constant bad smell in the elevator, some finishes were poorly done or unfinished, and in the shower the water did not drain properly, flowing onto the floor. On the positive side, the staff (especially ERIND) were always very friendly, the rooms were clean, and towels were changed daily, which shows good care. The location is also great, about a 15-minute walk from the center of Saranda. Private parking is also available, which is another plus. The private beach is very nice, although hotel guests have to pay for the sunbed rental. You can order food and drinks which are served directly on the beach. However, I would like to leave a warning: we felt a little uncomfortable, as some staff members made unwanted advances and kept insisting even after being refused. This behavior negatively impacts the overall hotel experience. In general, the hotel has good potential and offers comfort, but it needs to fix some structural issues and, above all, invest in staff training to ensure a respectful environment for all guests.

Great place
The best thing about the hotel is the staff. To be mentioned for extremely good service: Arsan, Natalia, Elsi, Mario from the beach and Erind.
Cleanliness 100 percent.
Oh nd a great PADI scuba club down the road.

We used the beach and the bar part of the hotel. The service was top, the manager of that day, Marius, was super friendly and went beyond the usual to accommodate us. We were even offered a discount on the parasols since it was off season. We'll come back again for sure :)
