Absolutely fantastic stay. Can't fault this hotel at all. Food at breakfast excellent and so much choice. Staff so lovely and helpful. We had booked a deluxe sea view room but were given a free upgrade to a suite. It was wonderful. Definitely 10 out of 10. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. Very much a Russian and Chinese holiday resort. We were the only British lol. No problem though.

The hotel has direct access to the beach, which was my favorite part of the stay. I spent a lot of time in the pool, it was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was also very good, offering a variety of options. The location is convenient, with several restaurants nearby. The room was comfortable, though not very modern. That didn’t bother me much, as I was either in the pool or the ocean most of the time. However, the bathroom had a persistent bad smell after using the shower or toilet, and the bathtub was old and drained water slowly. There is no self-service laundry :-( Airport pickup was available and very convenient. As soon as you exit the arrivals area, you just cross the street and walk for about 2–3 minutes to a designated waiting area where the van picks you up. The airport staff was very nice and they helped me get to the waiting area.

I chose this hotel for my mother and I, having enjoyed my previous stay here back in 2021. I’d like to start by saying, the hotel is absolutely not to a five star standard, no doubt having been awarded this rating back when it opened however many decades ago, and never being reassessed. However, the location literally could not be any better(immediately on the beach), the grounds and swimming pools are clean and well maintained, the rooms and all public areas of the hotel are spotlessly clean, the AC works fantastically and, despite being pretty outdated, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The biggest problem here is the staff, most of whom are nonchalant at best. For an apparent five star hotel that seems to cater to majority foreign guests, seemingly not one member of staff speaks English, or even Russian. Most of the staff at reception seem completely uninterested in actually helping guests, even more frustrating most seem to hide behind ‘trainee’ name badges, meaning they can’t even be named. When I asked the three workers stood at reception if one of them could speak English, two didn’t even bother to look up from their computer, let alone answer me, instead mocking me under their breathe, assuming that because I asked for an English speaker, I cannot understand Chinese, but I can. I was also frustrated when the worker who checked us in, holding our British passports in his hand, set his translator to Russian to try and communicate with us. Breakfast was also incredibly chaotic due to staff issues, who seemed to clear tables at a glacial pace, if at all. I watched many guests wander around, unable to find a single clean table, with literally every one piled full of dirty dishes and not a member of staff in sight. Despite the staff problems, we still enjoyed our stay and would probably return, but just don’t come here expecting a five star experience.

The cleanliness of the courtyard, swimming pool and guest rooms is a basic service that we have long adhered to. However, there is indeed a lag in facility updates. Every year, the hotel conducts comprehensive and detailed maintenance on facilities and equipment on a regular basis. Also, the insufficient communication skills of the staff in English and Russian that you mentioned, as well as the unprofessional attitude that occurred during the reception process, are the core issues that we need to solve at this stage. We have established an investigation to verify the situation regarding the behavior of front desk staff who ignore guests' demands and mock communication requests, and have seriously criticized and trained the relevant responsible persons. In response to the situation where "a high proportion of intern employees and insufficient service experience", we will optimize the personnel structure, strengthen pre-job training (especially language skills and service awareness), and require all employees to wear their name tags properly and display their names to ensure that guests can clearly feedback problems. Avoid the recurrence of similar communication predicaments. At the same time, there are also cases where the tables are not cleared in a timely manner during breakfast time, exposing the loopholes in our catering operation and management. The catering department has adjusted the division of labor among personnel, increased the number of service staff during the breakfast peak hours, and formulated the "Table Cleaning Timeliness Standard" to ensure that guests can quickly obtain a clean dining area. Meanwhile, we will enhance the practical training for intern employees to improve service efficiency and initiative. Despite numerous problems, you are still willing to consider staying again. This tolerance is highly cherished by us. We are well aware that a "five-star experience" not only stems from hardware but also relies on warm and professional services. If you choose us again in the future, please contact us in advance. We will arrange an experienced service staff to connect with you and follow up on your check-in needs throughout the process, doing our best to make up for this regret. The sunshine and beaches of Sanya are always open to you. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel. The excellent location was the main reason I booked it again. Although the hotel is a bit outdated, the rooms are still clean. The staff is professional, and changing rooms was no problem at all. The breakfast buffet is sufficient, and the pool facilities are inviting. The hotel is mainly frequented by Russian guests. Mostly families stayed at the hotel, and it was quiet. There are plenty of excursion opportunities, and the hotel offers a good range of activities.

We had a fantastic stay at the resort. The rooms were very clean and amenities were endless. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast had many good Western and Chinese options. We would definitely stay here again!

The window is old and doesn't close well. In the description it said that it had a bathtub and there was only a shower

The staff was responsive and kind and quickly resolved the problems with registration, and even more, kindly escorted us to our room. As a surprise, the next day there was a fruit plate in the room! Great location, great outdoor area with a pool and a beautiful walking area!

The pictures of this hotel were accurate like 50 years ago, the facilities are not properly maintained, 2/3 pools were closed, the breakfast is really poor in quality. This hotel is 4 stars in its best days, more likely 3 stars and under no circumstance it is a 5 star hotel as they claim to be.

I had a pleasant stay. The room is very small, but clean. The furniture is old and a little out dated. The hotel staff including the concierge were friendly and accommodating, Vanessa was the only staff to speak English. She gave me so much help and services. The hotel location is great with a private lounger on the beach. The breakfast was rich. The hotel allowed me to check out late which was nice of them, I had an afternoon flight.

We’ve enjoyed our stay a lot at this hotel. It’s a bit old but quite nice, clean, and family friendly. If they just had heated pools, it would have been awesome.
