The hotel was very close to cedar point. I got great service from the front desk, however housekeeping did not replenish any of our towels or hygiene products during the 3 days we were there. Also, the pool maxes out at 3.5 feet deep. It was great for small children but my teen had a hard time enjoying it.

This place is pretty nice. It is in a very convenient location to Cedar Point amusement park. Our room was very clean except for the dust on the lamps. The staff in the store were very nice and friendly. The pool though is more for like younger children. It is not very big and it has a ton of younger children under the age of 10. I did not like anything about the hotel was the pool. And they did not enforce kids playing with unsafe toys. Both of my daughters were intentionally hit with toys. And the parents, nor the lifeguard said anything to them about being little brats. They were taking full water bottles and throwing them and making them projectiles towards other people. And they were taking Nerf toys and throwing them at people. Also, there were children running through the hallway, screaming. And no parents were monitoring them. And there was kids as little as five years old, running rampant in the hallways. It was not as bad later in the evening, but it was still was a little annoyance. Other than that, this place was pretty good. I would stay here again. But I think that they were draw in a bigger crowd if they took out the kiddy splash pad and made the pool larger. Also, I would not recommend going to the McDonald’s across the street. The prices are extremely high and they are 100% price gouging. They have higher prices than a regular McDonald’s.

Welcome back to the 1970s! Where the bedspread and decor are still a live and thriving. And no one cares! No hot water, I guess that is a thing of the future, flashing green light all night long from the smoke detector and all for 2930 pricing of only $400 a night! Have fun.

The hotel was nice just like the last time I stayed there, but I was there mainly for the park. The park has become a joke! I don’t mind waiting in lines, especially during the busiest time of the year. What I do mind is waiting and then the ride being delayed, or getting passed up by 50-100 fast past holders. I understand they paid for that. But it shouldn’t be 20 fast lane then 5 line waiters… Maybe if SIX FLAGS didn’t lay everyone off the experience would still be as awesome as it used to be. I guarantee the reason rides get delayed and need maintenance so much is because they have made so many cuts and that’s bs. Dispatch times have also plummeted, millennium force was probably the fastest. The park just is not what it used to be. I’ve been there three times for vacation and this was the absolute worse experience. It almost makes me want to not come back. I love the coasters, it really sucks that six flags decided they know what’s best. You can absolutely tell they don’t care about the people anymore and only about that dollar.

Pros: The hotel has a nice courtyard for groups to gather. Small splash area was great for littles. Friendly desk staff. Air conditioning kept the room cool, and the ice machine always had ice even though temperatures were in the 90s and the hotel was really busy. Plenty of parking available. Location worked well for the amusement park and for our baseball tournament. Cons: The lobby area never seemed clean. Food/crumbs and trash were visible, even well into the morning. The humidity in the room was gross. Sheets always felt damp. Towels never dried because of that and the fact that there were NO towel bars in the bathroom to hang them. Pool depth only goes to 3.5 feet, so the water was almost too warm. Housekeeping does not come on a daily basis, so we had to visit the desk almost every day to get dry towels, toilet paper, trash bags, coffee supplies, etc. Noises in the hallway did not seem to be buffered by the door or walls. When we first checked into our room, we found a child’s sock on the floor by the window and lots of stubble on the sink/counter. I told the front desk the next morning, and they agreed to send in housekeeping the next day. Our coffee maker was broken too, but when we brought it to their attention, they gave us a different one that worked.

Arrived pool closed. Gave us excuse after excuse lighting but all othe resorts and cedar point rides were still running. Then claimed pool was over filled and they couldn't open it. Then they needed a plumber ......there was no reason for the pool not to be open while many families waited.......awful could have stayed somewhere else and been relaxing in a pool

If you plan on going to Cedar Point, I highly suggest you stay here. My plan was to go to Cedar Point as you probably are and here I was able to get a great deal on room with tickets that came with perks. Getting in an hour early and not needing to worry about drinks all day was great. Then coming back to the hotel after a long day was great. Heated pool, TV worked, decent beds and clean room. Most hotels seem to fail in most of those areas. Perfect for a standard middle class family looking to get special perks without hurting the wallet.

We recently stayed at Cedar Point’s Express Hotel. We were in town for a volleyball tournament, and most of the team’s and their families stayed there as well. The hotel is nice and comfortable, clean and conveniently located. The problem came after dinner time. Our room was on the second floor, positioned over a side lobby. A group of parents had set up tables and were having a party, complete with coolers and alcohol. At about 11 pm, the noise was making it impossible for us to sleep. I called the front desk, but was told that there was nothing that the hotel could do, it wasn’t a party, and that it “happened a lot.” We had to be awake at 5:30 to get ready for a 8 AM game. I didn’t fall asleep until about 2, and was exhausted in the morning. Beware rooms by common areas and the elevators. Bring a noise machine if you have one. And don’t expect the hotel staff to help with any problems. If we are ever in Sandusky again, we will not be staying there. I was sent a link for a review, but was unable to move beyond the first question asking my age before being told it was complete. Obviously they don’t want customer feedback.
