Trouville Hotel by Compass Hospitality
"We have just returned from a four night stay at this Hotel and had a really enjoyable experience. We had travelled as part of a coach trip and booked a double room with sea- view and were not disappointed. The room was clean and comfortable with everything in it that we needed. The bathroom had a walk in shower. The restaurant is well managed and the menu is varied and in our opinion cooked and presented beautifully. The staff were all cheerful and went out of their way help everyone. The Hotel in general is well kept and the bar and ballroom are both comfortable , pleasant spaces to sit and relax. The bar serves some very nice snacks and meals at lunchtime and we sampled some of them. We are happy to recommend this Hotel to others."
Premier Inn Isle Of Wight Sandown
"Nice hotel, in a great position. Excellent parking. Plenty of places to eat if you don’t want to use the restaurant, which is pretty good. The premier room offers comfort and the WiFi was very good."
Premier Inn Isle of Wight, Sandown (Seafront)
"Can't comment on rooms.however went in for coffee and cake ,we were greeted by the most miserable lady behind the counter, everything seemed to much trouble,no please or thank you,I think she was the supervisor if so needs to retrain and understand the term deliver good customer service as this is something that was severely lacking...."
Inglewood Guest House
"Had the best stay! Jon and Justine were so friendly and accommodating, which was lovely especially when travelling alone! Food in the morning was great, with loads on offer! I was full all day! And the location was perfect, on the island train line, close to the beach, high street and many other towns!"
Chaston Manor Hotel
"A really perfect stay at Chaston Manor. The owner Callum was so lovely, super helpful and made you feel so welcome. Our family suite was huge and had everything you needed, great for us with a pair of teenagers as they had enough space to themselves. The hotel is a short walk from the sea in a nice, quiet location which was perfect for us. Breakfasts were amazing, everything you wanted from a fruit salad to a massive and delicious fry up! We loved it all and will return as soon as we can. Thanks so much Callum & team"
The Wight
"Clean, hygienic and good service"
Parterre Holiday Apartments
"Fantastic stay! We travelled from Birmingham with a baby under 2 and the host was absolutely brilliant — greeted us personally and kindly allowed an early check-in which made such a difference with a little one. The apartment is spotless, well equipped and perfectly located — just a short walk from Sandown Beach. Will definitely be back! Highly recommended! 🏝️"
The Caledonian Island Hotel
"Great location and good parking. Lovely space outside. Spacious rooms - could do with updating but very clean."
Altavia Hotel
"I am genuinely stunned that this hotel is still operating in its current state. The owner, who claims to have been running the place for 30 years, is clearly stuck in the past, extremely rude, and completely unwilling to take feedback. For the sake of guests — especially children — it’s time to retire. My daughter stayed here on a school trip and the experience was unacceptable from start to finish. The children were not shown how to use the showers, meaning many had to wash in cold water. That is basic hospitality. Instead of helping, the owner chose to shout at the kids and even the teachers. Completely unprofessional behaviour. The rooms were tired, poorly maintained, and not cleaned daily. The entire hotel smelled unpleasant, and the hygiene standards were some of the worst I’ve come across. Maintenance is clearly neglected. The food situation was even more alarming. Some items were undercooked, others burnt, and the dishes were dirty. Chips were raw in the middle, toast was black, and shockingly, a nail and hair were found in a sandwich. This alone should prompt a visit from the local food inspection authorities. Beds and pillows were awful, offering no comfort at all. Overall, the facilities were extremely poor and nowhere near acceptable for paying guests — let alone children on a school trip. Be warned: stay far away from this hotel. And to the owner — do the right thing and retire. The standards here are not just outdated; they are unsafe."
