Baglioni Resort Sardinia

Baglioni Resort Sardinia

📍 Via Tavolara, 07052 Lu Fraili di Sotto, San Teodoro
★★★★★ 8.5 (52 reviews)

"Embarrassing services and structure. Indecent situation on the beach. To access you have to cross a fetid and smelly swamp via a dangerous pier with nails and broken beams. There are no toilets and people excrete their waste in the bushes generating a nauseating smell… Resort without services. Virtually non-existent spa with rude staff. They are absolutely not equipped for the wind which is practically always there, with ashtrays or windproof umbrellas etc To be avoided"

Hotel le Mimose

"Great location, very clean hotel, and truly attentive staff. We opted for the half-board option. The breakfast is very varied, with a selection of sweet and savory pastries, freshly cut fruit, cheese, etc., and the service is excellent; they bring the coffee to your table, and it's very good. The dinner is surprising, worthy of a gourmet restaurant: a surprise from the chef to start the meal, followed by a lovely starter, a main course, and a dessert. The servers are very attentive, explaining the dishes to you, and you can count on them to ask the chef for changes if there are ingredients you don't like. Their motto is no problem, whatever it takes to please you. Honestly, in terms of service and staff, it's beyond a 3-star plus. It's very much appreciated, thank you to all the staff!"

Terradimare Resort&Spa

"4 star resort if you’re staying in any other room but the apartment. Our room (105) became infested with flying ants and termites on our last night of the trip. Front desk provided us bug spray to deal with the bugs but they kept coming. It was impossible to locate the entry point because there were so many of them. We had to have the kids sleep in our room as I didn’t want them where we had to use the bug spray. On the second night of our trip, the electricity went out in our room and it activated the emergency lights throughout the apartment at 0200. Not the best way to wake up. This was weird as the air conditioner continued to run so at least that was a good thing. I went to the front desk to complain and realized that it had affected the whole hotel as all the other guests were either standing outside their hotel room and the front lobby was packed. Receptionist said it was a problem in the city not caused by them but the street lights and neighboring houses had power and the AC was still running so not sure how you talk that one down. As compensation, they took 20€ off the breakfasts that weren’t included in the hotel apartment booking and gave me a 12 o’clock late checkout from the standard 10am. This hotel is still one of my favorites but selecting that apartment was a bad move. It’s very spartan, does not come with room cleaning but that’s all stated up front when you book. It’s good for a family of 4 to spread out in and we had a terrace to dry off all our beach things after a day out in the sun. Breakfast buffet is good. Also I remember from our first trip the receptionist would provide a map of the neighboring beaches and a code to get a discount for the reservation only beaches. This time I had to ask about it but the receptionist did get us the map and the code after requesting it. It would be cool to provide this to every guest as they checked-in, and for them not to ask about it because this is good information to have."

Hotel Costa Caddu

Hotel Costa Caddu

📍 Via Costa Caddu, San Teodoro
★★★ 9.0 (51 reviews)

"We stayed at Hotel Costa Caddu for 7 nights at the beginning of August. It’s a beautiful, peaceful, extremely clean and well-maintained hotel. We stayed in a Garden Room which had its own private veranda/porch that looks out towards the sea, which is only a 5-minute walk from the hotel. We hired a scooter for visiting San Teodoro and other nearby beaches and towns, which were mostly extremely busy because of the time of year. I imaging it must be much quieter in September and October. The hotel’s main asset is its staff – always willing to help and very friendly. One observation (as we are both vegetarians) would be to have vegetarian dishes in the buffet marked as vegetarian, a common practice in many other hotels we have stayed in. Sometimes it was difficult to know which foods on the buffet were meat free, even though they looked as if they were (but weren’t). Otherwise, the food and service is of high quality. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel for a peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable holiday!"

Baglioni Resort Sardinia ★★★★★
"Incompetence and lack of professionalism are the basis of this resort branded Baglioni but there is little of Baglioni except the logo... It is an old resort called Paradaise, renovated as best as possible and used as a trap for foreign tourists who have few demands . Staff not adequately trained and in some cases too pedantic. Room cleaning not done or done hastily, at absurd times like 5.30pm. Leaving a greasy, wet cleaning cloth and a lot of hair in the suitcase… That the guest service provided the laundry for free... I would say the minimum in cases like these. For a 5 star hotel and even more so for a Baglioni there is a lot of work to be done to improve the services. Deserving a special mention are Paolo and Antonello from the beach service who do everything to make up for the shortcomings of the structure, Francesco from the always professional restaurant and the director Victoriano for the upgrade."

Hotel le Mimose ★★★
"The Hotel is well located and close to the center of St Teodoro and 20 minutes from the airport. The best was the breakfast buffet, you can satisfy well your appetite in the morning before going to spend all day out . The staff was very kind and cheerful during breakfast ! The hotel was quiet , not too many around because end of season! I was very disappointed with the size (tiny) of the room , specially the shower (shower head broken and walls with dark moisture) . Is made for very skinny peoples !!!The cleaning of the room was acceptable. Instead of having a big terrace/balcony they can give more space inside the room . Also wardrobes are too old with noisy doors. The garden was completely neglected. Maybe October is not the best time to be around …"
