Hotel Nicol's

Do not be put off staying here by the current lowly 2 star rating, this is a fully renovated luxury boutique hotel waiting on a new rating. Everything about the hotel is beautiful, decoration throughout is very high end, bedrooms are well appointed with luxury linens, towels and cosmetic products. Breakfast is exceptional , a good choice of top quality food is served, not buffet style. We had the tasting menu lunch at Itzuli restaurant within the hotel, it was on a par with Michelin 2/3 star food which we have had in other locations. There is a decent size pool area which we used and a spa which we did not, the gym looked decent and changing areas were well equipped and as with all of the hotel spotlessly clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. You will need a car or taxi to get to town , there is a local bus service however we did not use it so I cant comment on that. Hotel Luze is a perfect place to stay , just minutes outside San Sebastian , in a pretty peaceful location.

LUZE Hotel....wow wow wow!! Thank goodness we stumbled on this gorgeous Palace of a hotel in the early evening of 17 September and we were greeted by a gorgeous girl called June. June was so warm, friendly, personable, helpful & very professional. We just felt so special to be at this utterly gorgeous hotel. We checked into our room got changed then went to the hotels fabulous restaurant for a sumptuous dinner. The bar area is really great too with a fireplace! Everything is so inviting. We are always searching for super delicious Michelin star food quality and we're so happy with the freshest delicious gourmet dinner served! Very impressed with the top Chef Iñigo Lavado who is Alain Ducasse trained. Our room was gorgeously decorated with all the mod cons and the most comfortable king size bed ever! Smart TV etc etc. The generous breakfast was outstanding with a large choice of alacarte dishes from sweet fruits & nuts artisan yoghurt & cheeses to eggs Benedict with salmon & avocado or an omelet etc etc with additional numerous sides then followed by croissants & pastries & the best coffee we have had so far in Europe! We booked into the wellness spa after a swim and sunbake in the beautiful infinity pool overlooking the sea and had the spa area totally to ourselves for one hour, what a relaxing treat! Everything AMAZING from sauna to steam room big pool & spa pool ice shower and much much more! LUZE has a first class top notch manager Borja Roldan, running the hotel, we give LUZE a 6 star rating all round for everything which is very unusual for us! Borja was just amazing, super helpful, friendly & very professional. Luze Hotel is like being in another world. A true dream come true for us! Thanks to the whole team you are the BEST! 💝 Brigitte 💃

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Luze Boutique in San Sebastián! From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. They took time to answer our questions and gave great local recommendations. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable beds, spacious. The complementary coffee and water was very much appreciated! And not only a hairdryer, but a hair straightening iron in the rooms too! One of the biggest highlights was the pool area. The water was cold and clean, with sun loungers positioned around it, wonderful after a long day of seeing the local sights. Many thanks from the Nolan Family

The hotel is so nice. But most amazing is the extraordinary people running and managing the hotel. They are thoughtful, kind and caring, in a manner which makes you truly grateful. The attention to every little thing was a blessing, done in a manner which only good people can do. Thank you ♥️
