Casa Solcor Boutique Bed & Breakfast

We stayed at Casa Solcor for a week during our vacation in San Pedro and we honestly couldn’t have been happier! From our very first message until the moment we checked out everything exceeded our expectations. The property is located in a peaceful area just 10-minutes walk from the center of San Pedro. Perfect if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. The rooms and bathrooms ate spacious and spotless. There are two well-equipped kitchens where you can easily prepare your own meals if you are not in the mood to eat out. Breakfast is served there as well: generous, fresh and delicious. Throughout the day you can also enjoy some fruits, juice and snacks. The pool (not heated) and jacuzzis are a real blessing in the middle of the the Atacama. There’s also a barbecue grill in the outdoor area if you feel like having a cookout. Bikes (really good ones!) are available free of charge for guests. Just book the at least the day before and go explore! Devil’s Gorges and Death Valley worth the ride. But above all, what truly makes Casa Solcor special is the staff. Every single one of them is exceptionally friendly, smiling, helpful and respectful. They create suck a welcoming and homey atmosphere that you genuinely feel like part of the family. By the way, “Solcor” means “heart” in the local native language, making this place inevitably heartwarming home away from home.

Today is my seventh and last day staying at Casa Solcor, and every one of those days has been delightful. The space is comfortable, the bedrooms spacious, and everything open to nature. Casa Solcor is near enough to town for a leisurely walk, but far enough that nighttime music and festivities won’t disturb your sleep. Most of all I thank the warm and responsive staff for keeping my girlfriend and me happy and cared for. Special thanks to Wilson for helping me arrange the trip and manage minor crises. Very good value is Casa Solcor!

I've been to many hotels around the world and this was one of the best. Peaceful, quiet, spacious and spread out, clean pools, nice jacuzzi/spa, wonderful and helpful Staff, delicious breakfast, clean rooms, hot showers... the list goes on. Ample and secure parking for those with a rental car. Staff very courteous and ready to answer any questions. Kindly did a load of laundry for me. Located ~15 minutes from the main drag where all the restaurants are, therefor it's rather quiet. Included breakfast is great. Fresh, lots to choose from. Love how there are juices, water, tea/coffee and cereal available 24/7. If you've early tours, they will prepare a to-go breakfast for you. Room was clean, modern, but had the rustic décor reflective of the region you're in which was a nice touch. Comfortable bed, ample lighting for reading at night. Swimming pool was refreshing and clean. Jacuzzi was hot and great for relaxing at night under the stars. Hotel grounds well-maintained and beautiful. All-around a wonderful experience. No question I'd stay there again. Cannot comment on the free Wi-Fi as I didn't use it. Thank you for the wonderful Staff!

Five star property across the board. This is a tranquil oasis on the edge of San Pedro - an easy walk or bike ride (they provide) into town. From the minute we walked inside, the service was impeccable. The breakfast is outstanding. It's a perfect place for family or couples. When a tour ran late on our last day, they graciously let us keep pur things in our room and accommodated a late check out. Exceptionally well run and first rate hospitality. There is no other place we would stay when we go back to San Pedro.

This is a small boutique hotel (20 rooms) about a 15 mins walk from the town centre. The staff are extremely friendly, and super efficient. Karla deserves a special mention. The rooms are not large, but well organised. 2 small plunge pools, jacuzzi, and breakfast / living / chill areas are on the property. They offer assistance via WhatsApp, which is super helpful. The laundry service (free) is very convenient as many travel from the neighbouring dusty regions. In terms of improvements, I would consider: 1/ adding a restaurant for lunch / dinner 2/ providing a few more hot breakfast options 3/ having a spa / massage facility - although staff will recommend mobile masseuse 4/ WiFi is patchy - improve this These improvements would make the overall experience far richer and better value for money. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and we would like to thank all, in particular Karla.

Casa Solcor is a very well-run, beautiful hotel in Atacama. The staff were very helpful, helping us plan our four days in Atacama and buy tickets for attractions in and around San Pedro de Atacama. They were also always available with good tips. The rooms are well equipped and the hotel is very beautiful and romantic. I would recommend it 100%.
