I stayed at TreeCasa Hotel & Resort and, unfortunately, my experience did not live up to the expectations set by their advertising. The buffet breakfast was particularly disappointing—you pay for it, but you’re only allowed to go through the buffet once. To make matters worse, they send someone to watch over your table, which felt awkward, uncomfortable, and honestly, very cheap for a place that markets itself as a resort. The receptionist was unwelcoming and seemed more preoccupied with his cellphone than with assisting guests, giving the impression that customer service is not a priority. Additionally, while the resort advertises amenities like horseback riding and spa massages, neither of these were available during my stay. Apparently, they require advance booking so they can bring someone from the city, which was inconvenient and misleading. Overall, the place felt more like a fancy pool hangout rather than a genuine resort experience. It’s more of a tourist trap than a relaxing getaway. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re just looking for a pool day.

We were never given information about property(beach area). Their day pass customers took over the entire pool area and we couldn’t find a chair to enjoy the main reason we booked the property. Wanted a relaxing environment shown on the pictures. We would never go back on a weekend. Felt overcharged for what was available. Food was great in restaurant though.

Came here for a 8 day trip as a solo female with my 6 year old daughter. I was hesitant since Nicaragua has a Level 3 travel advisory but I felt extremely safe here. The staff went above and beyond any time we needed anything. Estavan, Tony, & Francesco were my absolute favorites. (Sorry if I misspelled) I wasn’t a fan of was having to let them know a day in advance if you wanted to use the shuttle to the beach or town. The rooms are also extremely humid no matter what you do. When I visited other countries that had high humidity like that they provided dehumidifiers that really helped. Besides that the rooms are HUGE and the balconies are amazing. I LOVED the ocean view pool. Once they are able to provide bar and food service up there it’ll be 10/10. It was a long hot walk whenever I wanted a drink and had to walk all the way to the main pool area. Beware the hotel does offer day passes where anyone can come hangout for the day which leaves zero chairs for guests actually staying at the hotel. It gets very loud and crowded which is when the ocean view pool with full service would be a perfect solution for staying guests. I paid around $300 a night whereas people can pay less than $10 to come do the same thing as us. They did offer the ocean view pool to us but again there is nowhere to order food or drinks which is very inconvenient. I’d still recommend this hotel to anyone and hope in the future they figure out something better for actual hotel guests. Food was 10/10.

Our family had the most unforgettable New Year’s Eve. From the moment we arrived the staff made us feel so welcome, they were incredibly kind and supportive throughout our stay. The food was absolutely delicious, both at the New Year’s Eve dinner and every other meal we had. After dinner, we attended this incredible Egyptian themed party, which was such a unique and fun experience, and it was included for guests, which was a wonderful surprise! We had so much fun dancing and celebrating in such a beautifully decorated setting. Our room was comfortable and beautifully designed, and we loved having access to the private beach. It felt like a little slice of paradise.

As a family of three, including our 8-year-old child, we were eagerly looking forward to a peaceful and rejuvenating stay at Treecasa Resort in San Juan Del Sur, Nicaragua. Both my partner and I are holistic health practitioners, and we specifically chose Treecasa because of its promise to help guests "Reconnect with Nature & Rejuvenate your soul." Unfortunately, our experience was the complete opposite of this description, and we left feeling exhausted, frustrated, and deeply disappointed. Uncomfortably Loud and Unrelaxing Atmosphere. From the moment we arrived, it became clear that the reality of Treecasa was far from what we had anticipated. The music by the pool was blaring at a very high volume, which only got louder as the day went on. While we had expected a tranquil environment, what we encountered felt more like a party scene. To make matters worse, the pool area, which had been advertised as a quiet retreat, was opened to the public after noon, becoming increasingly crowded with visitors from the nearby towns. The atmosphere was overwhelming, especially with the loud music continuing all day. The Nightmare of Nighttime Noise The worst part of our stay came after dinner. On Friday night, a rave-style party erupted at the resort, lasting from 8:30 pm until 12:30 am. The noise was unbearable, making it impossible for any of us to sleep, especially our young child, who cried for hours because of the disturbance. What was most upsetting was that we were never informed of this event when we booked the resort. Instead, we received a brief message just before the party began, inviting all guests to join in. We were left feeling blindsided and helpless. Flooding in the Room As if the noise wasn’t enough, at 1 am, a heavy rainstorm hit, and the roof of our room was not equipped to handle the downpour. In a matter of minutes, our son’s bed was completely soaked, and water was flooding the floor around the room. When we spoke to the staff the following morning, they assured us that the loud music wouldn’t happen again, which gave us some hope. But unfortunately, it did—on both Saturday and Sunday nights, the music blared again from midnight until 4 am, and once again, rain caused flooding in our room. Poor Customer Service and Unacceptable Compensation When we raised these issues with the staff, we were told that the resort was fully booked and no other rooms were available. The only alternative they offered was a room located even closer to the source of the loud music. After speaking with the manager, we were given what they called a "token of appreciation"—a free dessert at the restaurant. This, understandably, felt like an insult given the severity of the issues we faced. We requested a refund for the discomfort and inconvenience, but after hours of back-and-forth, they offered us a meager discount for one night of our four-night stay. A Formerly Peaceful Resort Turned Into a Party Destination From what we gathered from other families we s
