Fantastic quaint hotel on Orcas Island. Stayed in a basic room that was very lovely. Had breakfast and dinner at New Leaf Cafe. Both meals were great. The hotel is right near the water. Hotel is conveniently located next to Eastsound shops and restaurants which are best on the island. Doe inns/ hotels on Orcas this is definitely the place to stay.

I live on Orcas. I photograph a lot of weddings here. The Outlook Inn shows up in my life more than most places. That’s not why I’m writing this. Or maybe it is. Hard to say. Some places just carry a certain stillness. They don’t need to be styled. You step in, and something shifts. Time stretches out a little. People open up. I was here for another wedding. Small, real, nothing extra. The kind that reminds you why people gather in the first place. I spent most of it behind a camera. But what stayed with me wasn’t just the images. It was how the place held the day — not with drama, but with ease. If you’re looking for beauty, it’s here. If you’re looking for meaning, it might be too. We booked a girls weekend away at the Outlook Inn. It is a great location, just steps from the cute downtown of Orcas Island. The rooms were well updated and have a clean, modern aesthetic. The property is large and offers plenty of parking. We stayed in a Bayview Queen and had a lovely view of the sound. One thing I would love to see from the property is a hot tub or sauna - I realize that's not always possible, but given the "retreat" vibe of the area, I feel like that would really encourage more booking. We will definitely return.

We loved it. The staff went above and beyond to make our celebration weekend special. The room exceeded our expectations. The view was magnificent. The location was perfect for experiencing the rest of what the island has to offer. We will certainly come back. Thank you for the wonderful weekend.

We were so excited to stay at this iconic hotel but we were less than satisfied. There were some cleanliness issues in the bathroom and in the main room. We had a lightbulb out and the toilet was not working properly but both issues were corrected when reported. The TV was stream only which was not able to stream and they had trouble fixing it. Afrer awhile we just said nevermind.. I would not stay in room 8 again. It has a cool balcony but one old uncomfortable wooden bench to sit on. Lots of road noise during the day but quiet at night. There is a spotlight near the balcony which shines light in all night. They do have blinds but if you need a dark room this is a problem. When we kindly mentioned the housekeeping issues the front desk said "I will let housekeeping know. That was it. No I'm sorry or I apologize that we did not meet your expectations. Jusy i will let housekeeping know.

We had one of the water view rooms . Room was immaculate with a fantastic view. Michael at the front desk was particularly helpful gave breakfast and dinner recommendations and expertly sorted out confusion we had with our room reservation

We had high hopes based on the pictures and website description. Nope, very deceiving and a misrepresentation of the condition of the property. More like a refurbished motel than a luxury resort. Like others have said, the room was in an old building facing the parking lot. It was so musty that we purchased a room spray to make it habitable. There were mosquitoes and other bugs on the ceiling and spider webs in the corners. It’s across the street from the ocean, so don’t be misled by their offering of “waterfront” rooms. There are two rooms across the street separate from the hotel that face the water, that’s all. Who knows what condition those are in. This was our first visit to Orcas Island, and unfortunately, based on our first impression of the island left by this smelly old hotel that describes itself as luxury, we won’t be returning. At the rates they charge, they should be ashamed of the condition of the property and deceiving guests who traveled a long way to visit.

Web site shows the ocean. Our Motel Six room was in a "shed" annex with a view of the dumpster. We listened all night to a noisy old window air conditioner across the driveway. The onsite New Leaf Restaurant however had excellent food and friendly service (but was closed on Tuesday and Wednesday).
