Maybe this was a "Top Hotel" once, (as described on the website). The list of problems with our room: Carpets stained with pet urine, chair scratched up, presumably by a cat, dirty fridge, filthy bathroom floor vent and kickboards, bath drain clogged with long dark hair, dripping faucets. (SEE PICS) On arrival we noticed that the room had a funky odor, and the A/C was not working properly. We dropped our cases off in the room, and went to reception to ask about the smell and report the A/C. The duty Manager, Lisa offered to go and spray the room with air freshener, or alternately, open the windows. We left the property for a few hours and upon our return, we found the windows cracked open and the A/C turned off. I went back to reception with a video of us attempting to reset the A/C - the programing had failed. I was told again to give it time to re-set. By 9:30pm the problem was not resolved, and we spent a miserable night with the windows open. In the light of day, we could see how dirty the room was. We were moved to another room, which while a great improvement was worn and in need of updating. We had breakfast around 7:30 each morning. The 'HOT' breakfast consisted of a toasted English muffin sausage sandwich that was rock hard, yogurts in a dish of ice and a small selection of bagels, muffins, cereal and bananas. I never saw more than 6 of any these items available at one time. No preserves at all. There is a toaster. On Sunday the dining room is closed, so it is a bagged bagel with cream cheese! Oh, and they don't trust the guests with the toaster on Sunday. It was put away and I was told I had to go back to my room if I wanted my bagged bagel toasted. Marriott sent my observations to management at the hotel, but I have little hope that it will make any difference to the way this hotel is run.
