I stayed here for one night For work purposes. I highly reread it and wish I would’ve just slept in my car! The issue started shortly after midnight when the room next to me room 231 has someone at the door banging and knocking constantly nonstop… When I tried to peek through the curtains, I noticed they were not your typical Hotel clientele. From your physical appearance, it was obvious that they were somehow transitional, but definitely on *****. I called the front desk between midnight and 4 AM asking them to please do something about it as I did not want to step out of my door and ask myself because I didn’t feel safe. Each time the front desk agent told me he would do something about it, but it never stopped. The last time I called the front desk I asked if I could be moved rooms and I was told that was not possible. Then I wake up and I try to get myself together and leave as soon as possible but upon doing so I discovered that there are cockroaches crawling everywhere, which I am posting photos of. When I went to check out and brought the key to the desk, I asked to speak to a manager, who was there her name is Yesenia. Yesenia, I don’t know how you got your job Because your customer service skills were as good as that of a 16-year-old who is just learning… you told me you would call me back by the end of the day. It is now a week later and I have called the hotel five times left my information not once have you returned my call not even calling me and saying please be patient. I’m working on it nothing. Once I got home, I left my bag in my vehicle. I had to go to the store and get a fogger and fog my car with my bag open because I didn’t want to risk the chance of bringing any pest into my home. Cleanliness and customer service are at the base to any hotel, regardless of how many stars they have… DO NOT STAY HERE!

Me, My friend and her 4 year old made the trip. Got checked in the room was FILTHY. There were roaches crawling everywhere! Even in the fridge . On the bed walls mold on the bathroom ceiling, room had not been cleaned in months and glass food and roaches coming out from under the bed. A straw was stuff in the peep hole. Roaches on the mirror drawers and don’t want to touch anythin. Went to front desk and they said they just work there they don’t make sure the rooms are cleaned !!

The hotel is super ugly I booked because of all the good reviews I read. And the pics looked so sharp and beautiful and clean. Unfortunately, our room has a cracked ceiling it had no water to drink, the carpet is so nasty 🤮 and the beds are super scratched and there’s no dryer or coffee for the morning coffee. I believe, when I booked it said free breakfast but there’s no breakfast available neither. Theirs not enough space container to put your makeup or toothbrush also there’s no iron or hair dryer. It’s so sad that we drove over 7 hours for a good relaxing stay and it was nothing of that I feel so uncomfortable being here. 😪 and it’s not refundable. I booked for 3 nights n only been here a couple hours. Plus they charged be $8 extra for each night the guy said was for services not sure what that is. Book for something better. I also booked cause I first thought about my special needs son and since the reviews are so warming and nice i thought that’s awesome I want to go there.

The images provided of this hotel are very misleading. The property smells like urine and cigarette smoke. The room we were given smelt like a previous smokers room, felt humid and looked like it was given a landlord special. The entry door looked like it could easily be broken open. There were a lot of odd people walking around the parking lot and most of them were chain smoking inside and outside of hotel rooms. It’s a small sketchy-people-filled hotel in the middle of a bunch of well known chain hotels. Not the best place to stay in San Diego if you have small children and family members with asthma. They wouldn’t refund us for our stay when we decided to take our business elsewhere due to these reasons. You’re better off sticking with a well-known hotel chain and paying more per night if you prefer to breathe well and feel safe sleeping at night.

First of all, for whoever might read this DO NOT USE *******, they booked me the wrong room and would not offer a partial refund only a cancellation but there was no time to book another room.
Hotel Iris , well, you get what you pay for, it's fairly inexpensive and they did accommodate us in a room with disabled parking in front. It was nice to have a mini fridge since the room I booked on ******* was suppose to have a full kitchen (there are no such rooms at this hotel). Upon entering there was a powerful Clorox smell covering up a moldy smell. The front office smells of mold, too. The board under the bathroom sink is rotten and lots of rust and old molding in the bathroom. The towels they provide are minimal in size and quality. We found one huge cockroach , thankfully more. We had a room close to the street and it was loud from traffic. They power washed the upper level right above us leaving a waterfall over the sidewalk. There is a pool but all the pool furniture is broken or unusable. The jacuzzi is not working. This seems like a very old, not very well maintained property.

Absolutely shocked by hot unsanitary it was
Well it horrible the person who checked us in didn’t car that there was trash everywhere, the room had a horrible chemical smell that gave me a head ache, we couldn’t stay there. We went through hell to find another place to stay. I didn’t feel safe. The bed had stains on it. The neighboring rooms appear to have people living in them in very unsanitary conditions and were smoking in front of the room and were making noise. I review hotels for trip advisor as a pass time I have 73,000 readers and I honestly and with all do respect have never experienced anything this bad in my life
