We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite. Checking in was a tad difficult in that it isn’t as easy as a hotel. But, once we had a representative on the phone, they had us in the room fairly quickly. Afterwards, we decided that the solitude of not having a hotel like reception and people in and out all the time was great. The Bungalows offer a nice quiet place to enjoy the desert. It is all decorated nicely with new furnishings. We really appreciated that all the outdoor furniture had been wiped down and cleaned up so that we didn’t have to get our clothes all dusty and dirty as happens out in the desert. The restaurant was closed (I think just for the summer heated months) but we were happy to seek out restaurants in and around the area - many places just a few minutes drive away. The pool and jacuzzi are a bit of a hike away from the rooms but looked nice when we hiked around the place. This might be a negative for some but for us we just enjoy the solitude that the Bungalows offer in a great way. We will be certain to return when we are next in the Joshua Tree area.

The property was very serene. The bungalow was also very nicely designed with a mid century modern style. Very comfortable sofa, chairs, and bed. Had our stay been longer we would have used the kitchen. The cafe was closed and we never found how to get to the pool without walking. It was 100+ degrees out and we wanted to drive to the pool but never found way. As far as asking someone for help, you have to text them as there isn’t any one on prem to ask. Aside from the lack of personnel we both felt the bungalow and property was very nice. A very peaceful inviting atmosphere with lots of outdoor areas to relax and meditate.

I stayed one night at The Bungalow by Homestead in Joshua Tree, and while check-in was a bit confusing at first (no staff on site and I couldn’t find anyone to ask questions), I was able to reach the property manager by phone who quickly provided the room and door code. At first I was worried it might be a scam, but once inside I was pleasantly surprised.
The room itself was gorgeous—spacious, thoughtfully designed, and incredibly quiet. The peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect place to unwind after a long day. Even though check-in could be smoother, the stay itself was excellent, and I’d happily return for the serenity and comfort this property offers.
