Spark by Hilton San Antonio Northwest near Six Flags

Find somewhere else! The hotel looks decent enough and the location is great if you’re going to Fiesta Texas, but that’s where the good ends. The room was very warm when we first arrived and I chocked it up to the room being empty for a period of time before our arrival, it slowly cooled off. The next day we spent the day at Fiesta Texas in the lovely heat all day only to come back to a nice warm room, so it’s the AC not possibly spending time empty with the AC down. As we were attempting to get cleaned up for dinner the smoke detector started going off, only in the room. I went to the front desk to report it and she said she was calling the manager to get maintenance out. We went to dinner and it was still going off when we got back. So I went back to the front desk and was informed it wouldn’t be until 10-11pm before some would be out. So we wait in the warmth and wait.

After a long day at Sixflags, my son and I arrived a little under a hour before check in to see if we could get into our room. The gentlemen at the reception desk seemed frustrated that I even asked to check in 45 min's before check in time and rudely informed me that I would have to wait, without even checking to see if they had a rooms available. So we left and hung out at a place called Andretti's for few hours. Once we came back and got checked in and got on the elevator, I realized that this hotel doesn't really clean their building. We stepped on the elevator and dust from the vent that looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years fell on me, One of towels in the bathroom had a stain on it and the ironing board had a weird stain on it as well. I could go on, but I'll just post pictures. The only reason I gave this hotel a 2 and not a 1 is because the beds were actually comfortable. I guess this is what I get for straying away from Marriott for one night.

I’ll start by saying the staff was extremely nice and friendly, the issues are with the hotel itself. The bed was rock hard, tv remote was broken along with the alarm clock. My room was a non smoking room but reeked of smoke. There is stains everywhere and the furniture is used to cover them up and the wall paper is coming off due to what seems to be water damage.
