I attended a family wedding reception here and stayed the night. The rooms are large, light, clean and airy. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the whole family were able to have a great time celebrating the newlyweds. We finished our stay with a lovely breakfast. Highly recommend The Globe if you are passing through, or, need somewhere to stay for a few days. The train station and the M5 are only a few minutes away, and there is ample free parking.

Stayed here to break the journey up from Cornwall to Yorkshire What a fantastic village pub with super friendly staff great bar and really good home cooked food Check in really easy great room with a big fan which we needed because it was very warm I was concerned about road noise but this proved to be insignificant The bathroom had just been modernised and was extremely well appointed Breakfast was a great continental followed by an hot breakfast of your choice I went for a small full English which was plenty great ingredients and very tasty All in all a fantastic stay Had a chat with the proprietor in the morning who was very pleasant and it always makes a difference when people who are uptake time to have a chat Well done the Globe

We have been here multiple times for a carvery and it is fantastic. They always allow walk in’s and have great vegetarian options. Very generous portions. The location is great too, the walk along the canal with all the wildlife is lovely. Definitely recommend

Stayed for a couple of nights while attending a family gathering/ vow renewal. Very impressed with everything from the food , service , welcome and staff . All the staff we met were friendly and helpful. The dinner on the 1st night and during the next days celebrations was more or less faultless as was the service and attention to detail. Plenty of parking and in a nice village we will definitely stay here again when visiting family in the area.

We visited this pub on 20th June 2025 whilst staying at a nearby campsite. We were greeted by a friendly young waiter called Conner. He was welcoming and professional. There is a young team of servers all of whom were attentive and friendly. The food and beer were great and reasonably priced with decent portion sizes. Overall a great experience and well worth a visit.

The Globe was a great place for the Sunday carvery. 3 in our group ordered it and the 4th chose fish and chips.The invitation by the waiter to visit the carvery was timed for the fish to be ready.Servings were ample, the veggies and potatoes were excellent…and the Yorkshire Pudding was the largest serving ever!The beef was cooked to perfection and tender. The waitstaff were most pleasant, efficient and personable! It was a most pleasant afternoon meal!! And the ambiance in the the pub was delightful! Thanks…

The Sunday carvery was amazing. Lots of delicious veg and the vegetarian option was really nice. Would definitely recommend it! We have had lunch here a few times before but never on Sunday. Really good value for money as well. Although it's a bit off the beaten track it's well worth a visit

Lovely place to overnight!
Great overnight stop over en route to Cornwall. We have been staying here once or twice a year for the last 5 years and really cannot fault the service we receive from Alex and all the team at The Globe. We will be back ☺️
