Gateway Inn and Suites

Very disappointing experience over the Fourth of July weekend. Visited this hotel with our two adult sons and rented the largest room on the property, the efficiency suite. We were under the impression that it had two queen size beds and a pullout sleeper sofa. The pullout sleeper sofa was uneven and uncomfortable for one person to sleep on so we ended up sleeping on the two queen beds. One of the queen beds was delivered with stains all over the sheets. It was clear that the bed was used, and the sheets had not been changed before we were given the room. The breakfast experience was all microwaved food. They had made an effort to put bacon, sausage, eggs, and potatoes on the table. However, everything was microwaved and really un appealing and in some cases uneditable. Overall a very disappointing experience we paid $360 for one night. We definitely had the expectation that the experience would be a little bit better. This was our eighth trip to Salida. We have stayed in a number of properties. This was our first and last time at the Gateway Inn. I recommend you spend your money elsewhere for much better service, hospitality, and accommodations.

They put us in a room next to people, one woman in particular, that was up all night long laughing and yelling, slamming the door. I called the desk at midnight and they went down there to tell her to be quite. I heard her say f* them but got quieter initially. She talked a little longer and then it got quiet. 4 am she was laughing and yelling even louder, just outright rude, didn't care. I didn't call the desk because they knew who this was, a regular, and there was no shutting her up. It was the worst night sleep I never had. I will get my money back and recommend you do not go to this place. We got there early, before check in time, the front desk woman knew exactly who she was putting us next to. BBB complaint incoming.

Good stay for the price and the hot tube was cool.

This property exceeded our expectations. Beautiful views, comfortable beds and breakfast was significantly better than expected. Staff was amazing as well.

Friendly staff, comfortable beds, clean rooms. The showerhead was not functioning well, but not the worst.

Came to Salida for the first time. Beautiful location and cleanliness. Rooms were in great condition and made it a comfortable stay.
