This is an amazing hotel where you are made to feel welcome and special throughout your stay. The rooms are lovely and the views incredible. Sitting on the terrace, with the views, eating an amazing breakfast is one of the highlights of my trip to Colombia so far. Louis the hotel manager and his team go out of their way to make your stay memorable. I highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting Salento.

We recently stayed to 3 nights and without doubt is the best place we have stayed in Colombia, the views are incredible and that coupled with the warmth and hospitality of the staff truly made this hotel extra special. Located a 5 mins walk through a jungle Pathway to the town of salento this hotel is an absolute gem. Rooms were spacious, bed was massive and extremely comfortable with stunning views of the lush mountains. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with a variety of fresh fruits and a choice from a menu of options. We also had dinner one evening which was really tasty. The staff were always smiling, attentive and couldn’t do enough for their guests (special mention to Luis, Albany and Johnny). I asked the manager Luis if they had English breakfast tea available for breakfast and within 2 mins he had delivered tea bags and milk to my room. He also helped us to arrange trips, a shuttle to the airport (which I would recommend as it’s the same price as a taxi and the taxi struggled to manoeuvre its way up the track to the hotel). Overall a wonderful experience which we would highly recommend.

The hotel is beautifully located, our room was gorgeous. Hotel staff is so serviceminded and attentive. Food is great. Overall, our stay was superb. Would have loved to stay longer!

A magnificent place from which to explore Salento and the surrounding region. We were all blown away by the beautiful views, delicious food, comfortable rooms, and wonderful staff. We especially loved our walk in La Carbonera with Santi and José and our Forest Bath (provided free of charge) with the knowledgeable, kind gardener, Jhonny. All in all, an unforgettable experience with Kawa. Highly recommend this one-of-a-kind stay!

Nice stay at Kawa in a truly stunning location, however, considering the price we paid, the value for money was poor. Our jacuzzi was broken on arrival and after a back and forth between management, other room options were suggested which were less than what we had paid for originally and we were not offered any monetary discount.
We had an apology from Luis but not from the manager on duty at the time, who continued to be aloof during our stay.
The breakfast was lovely and the views from the room were great. A shame that the manageress was rude during our stay and her customer service was not what you would expect given the rating of the accommodation.

Excellent and outstanding property - it is much more beautiful than the pictures can show. The staff is super friendly and go above and beyond to help the guests. Breakfast and dinner were a highlight as well. Beautiful surroundings!

Hotel Kawa Mountain Retreat is a peaceful haven surrounded by breathtaking mountain views. The rooms are cozy, stylish, and super comfortable, and the deck is the perfect spot to relax and soak in the scenery. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel right at home. A perfect place to unwind and reconnect with nature—highly recommend!

Incredible views with even better service
Absolutely loved the stay at Hotel Kawa. The property is incredible -- beautiful views right above the town of Salento. The room could not have been better. Very comfortable and the private jacuzzi was a huge plus. The staff, particularly Daniela, could not have been more helpful and accommodating. The food was also excellent -enjoyed both dinner and breakfast on the property. I would absolutely stay at this property again and recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, luxury stay at a very reasonable price point.

Prior to our visit, we read all the positive reviews and our stay exceeded our high expectations. Everything about this place is fantastic: the stunning views, tranquil setting, comfortable room and excellent service. The charming lobby/dinning area was a perfect setting to enjoy the breakfast of an assortment of fresh fruits, coffee and selected entré. In the evening, we enjoyed drinks in front of the wood burning fireplace.
The location was perfect for our four days of exploring the region. We found the walk into Salento a little steep and tiring, so we used a driver that charged 15,000 pesos each way which worked out great. Can’t recommend Kawa enough!
