My purse was stolen out of my room while I was on the balcony. The only person who was in the room was the maid. Security verified that nobody else entered the room. They just said, I'm sorry! The rooms are very dated and not very nice for such an expensive resort. The beachfront rooms are not directly on the beach as the pool area is in front of your room.

Terribly outdated. Room was not nice at all. Bathroom has rust and chipped paint. Elevator was disgusting. Our refrigerator leaked all over the floor onto our luggage. A/ c barely works. No valet. Someone thru up in the pool and it floated there all day. No one cleaned it. I have never been so disappointed in a "resort". We got 2 rooms for a family trip. Paid $2500 for a weekend and I feel like I am at a holiday inn. Highly disappointed. They need a complete renovation. No valet. No waitress by pool. Don't come here expecting luxury. It is NOT. We will not be back.

The hotel has gotten pretty run down in a lot of areas. There is a lot of deferred maintenance and updating that needs to be done. Other things like Valet service is pretty much nonexistent.we carried our own bags into the lobby while we waited for a room after waiting for 10 minutes for a valet. Service at the restaurant and bar is slow-maybe they are understaffed? The AC in our second room in the main building would not go below 72- which was just not good enough for us. The elevators in this section are awful. They are banged up and are a lovely harvest gold of yore. The bed in our room was ancient and soft. The linens were pretty but they have had the same ones for 10 years now. (I have been coming here since childhood) In spite of all that, I will return because I love the pool and beach. This was once an elegant hotel. She is shabby now and the rooms need to be updated but I will keep coming back to visit her like an old friend.

View is awesome. Staff at front desk awesome. Elevator broken. Room — not good. Shower in an old bath tub. Shower pressure terrible Outdated TV with cords showing. Comfortable bed. No value. The main foyer where the bar is is very nice. The pool is beautiful. Definitely better options out there.

There were several staff members that went above and beyond. I wish I could remember all of their names! Karen, Jordan, Jalen, and Jackie (to name a few) sure did make us feel like family. I cannot thank The King and The Prince and Echo Restaurant enough for helping our family create memories that will last a lifetime. The manager at Echo made sure our Anniversary dinner went off without a hitch (he took extra care to attend to our teens while we ate). P.S. Try The Cottage for icecream and coffee, even if you don’t plan on going to the resort or restaurant. You won’t be sorry!

If I could go back in time and book a different hotel, I would. Decided to splurge and stay in a double queen ocean front 1st floor guest room for nearly $700 for one night. It was the one night I'd have at the beach since 2019 and I was looking forward to the sound of waves and the view of the ocean. Unfortunately that view was actually of the pool followed by patio and rocks before the ocean and the sounds were of the families at the pool and bar. The room was very small and dirty. Water/moisture damage to ceiling in bathroom, dirty non-slip mat in tub, holes and stains on curtains, unidentified black stuff on bath towel, missing knob on dresser, dirty floors. Also, very limited parking especially when the hotel is hosting weddings. Save yourself the disappointment and stay somewhere else.

The King and Prince made celebrating our forty-fifth anniversary very special. Since we were celebrating our anniversary I requested a balcony view of the ocean, which we were given, but they went above and beyond granting the view. Upon arrival we found all sorts of goodies from cheese straws, to sweets and more, but wait, there was a bottle of champagne in the fridge! How awesome and how thoughtful of the King & Prince. Thank you King & Prince, we will definitely return!
