Sea Palms Resort St. Simons Island

I overall enjoyed my stay at Sea Palms. The room was spacious with a gorgeous view of the marsh. I attended a conference and the meeting room, friendliness of staff, and food all earned high marks. The ladies restroom in the conference area could have been better attended and it was odd being chased out of the bar at 9:30 on a Thursday night. Kind of early to close, in my opinion, and the bartender wasn’t the friendliest when ushering us out. The fitness center was nice and had the best selection of equipment I’ve seen in a hotel, but was lacking in cleanliness. I would return to Sea Palms for the price, convenience, quality and proximity to island attractions.

We booked a king room with a balcony and paid the deposit. When we arrived, we were put in a queen room with no balcony. When I asked for the room we booked, customer service told me no change allowed. My husband finally wasted two hours with customer service to get the room we booked. (And we missed our dinner reservations!) The floor of our room was so dirty that our feet were black. We could not even walk in a nearly $300/night room without shoes on. I went to the customer service and asked for four towels/four washcloths. Waited 1.5 hours and still no towels. Called to remind and towels arrived, yet only one washcloth. Geez. There was blood on the wall of our bathroom. Room service never arrived. Our trash was overflowing, We had to use Kleenex as toilet paper because we ran out. When we opened the door to checkout, there are a bag of towels laying outside our door. A bit too late, sigh. I would not recommend Sea Palms to anyone.

Room was nice except mold in shower. Property had trash going between buildings and laundry/ice area smells. And pet fee is too high. I almost could have paid a little more and got our pet his own room

The bed was horrible, and the A/C didn't work half the time. The location was much too small to hold a conference. The floors were extremely dirty in the room.

Not recommended. There are much better resorts available. Bed was uncomfortable Room was not very clean No breakfast Conference room chairs were very uncomfortable Cleaning Parking was horrible and even had to park offsite. Food at lunch was mediocre
