Tru by Hilton St. Louis Downtown

Valet parking was horrible ! 30 minutes to an hour waiting with a physical ticket to get our car. Someone in front of us they couldn't even find the car. Dropped off the car at night only to find it still sitting out front where we left it !!!! We were blocked in by other cars. Fortunately the security guard took the time to help us back out and get out of this Hell Hole. Oh, 4pm check-in time was more like 8pm. Room was nice.

We recently attended a Cardinals game and booked a night at the Tru by Hilton. Unfortunately, our stay was far from the experience we expect as loyal Hilton Diamond members and credit card holders. The bathroom sink would not drain, which was extremely unpleasant and disgusting. A technician came to our room and, while he did his best, he was only able to partially fix the issue after about 15 minutes. The challenges didn’t stop there. While taking a shower, I hung my undergarments on one of the wall hooks. Suddenly, the hook came crashing down, startling me mid-shower. It was a struggle to sleep because the pillows smelled of mildew. And to top it off, at 6 a.m. the alarm clock in the room went off on its own; we had never touched it. Altogether, the room felt like one typically assigned to third-party bookings, not to long-time loyal members who consistently choose Hilton. Even the smaller details added to the overall disappointment. At check-in, we were told there were no Diamond welcome bags available, and instead we could simply grab two water bottles from the cooler. While minor compared to the other issues, it left the feeling that our loyalty and MyWay benefit selections weren’t being honored. While the staff was kind and courteous, the overall experience left us both very dissatisfied. We know that Hilton prides itself on quality and consistency, and this stay fell well short of that standard.

My son and I checked in for one night to go to the Shinedown concert at the Enterprise center. It's a little tough to get to because of construction and they need more valet attendant's. It's a beautiful hotel.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room I stayed in was really nice. I would definitely stay here again if I ever decide to return to St. Louis!
