"This hotel is run by a lovely couple/family who have been established here for 8 years. Made me very welcome from the outset and shared a pint or two at the local pub with the proprietor at the Tower pub thankfully only 100 foot away!!! They do cream teas that are open to the public as well and the Carrott cake is to die for.... After first sampling the Victoria sponge and lemon drizzle as well. Breakfast was amazing and with good ingredients sourced. Room was lovely with lovely maintained gardens.... There was a bonfire in the garden as it was autumn which I so desperately wanted to light and re kindle nostalgic childhood memories.... Of bonfire night. Thanks goes to my accommodating friendly hosts and I would without question definitely stay here again if in this area. A rare gem in a commercially driven world. "

"What a gem this place was to bring us back to the 80’s/90’s style. The host was such a character and so polite with stories to tell! The place was spotless and we loved the fact the decor reminds us of how our homes styles were when we were growing up! Loved the history of the place & certainly would come back again. We were lucky to be given a seaview room & it was nice to be woken up with a beautiful sunrise."
