Because it was a business trip for training, I stayed here for two weeks at a time. The front building is a bar, and the back building is a hotel. Most of the waiters are friendly, and the food in the bar is also delicious. The room has a very simple layout, because it is considered In the suburbs, the public transportation is not very convenient, but the environment is very good, not far from the National Forest Park

Visited at the end of September 2025. Room was very cold and we were told heating wasn't turned on because guests said the rooms were to hot. When I asked why the guests didn't turn the heating down if they found it too hot I was told that of course they could, but they didn't! We were supplied with a fan heater after a second complaint. When we went down for dinner at 9pm we were told they stopped serving at 8.45pm. Shame they didn't tell us of this when we checked in, and we were astonished that a hotel closed it's restaurant so early. Would I stay there again? No.

Booked the st Leonard’s last minute for a family get together of 22 people. They kindly offered us the mallard suite so we had our own space to gather and room for kids to run around without bothering others. We ordered a breakfast buffet for ease and the food was served as in a separate part of the room so people could go up and help themselves. There was plenty of food and everyone really enjoyed a full English breakfast with tea and coffee. The staff were accommodating to anything we needed and we enjoyed the afternoon sun with drinks in the beer garden. Perfect space for our family get together will definitely use again

We arrived after 8pm and had to wait a while before anyone came to reception. The welcome when she did arrive was not very welcoming but when she was later seen operating in the bar and the restaurant as well as reception she may well have been overstretched. Room was clean and comfortable and despite being quite spacious there was nowhere to put a suitcase other than the floor. Car parking plentiful and easy. Breakfast staff were far more welcoming but quite a long wait for cooked breakfast.

Old hotel with zero heating and no option as it’s not available until October.probably not for OAPs then, the receptionist has only had four complaints upon check in today about heating. Unhelpful receptionist dirty ,cobwebs covered light shade cold rooms. Double bed feels more like a single bed not impressed

We stayed overnight in Travel lodge over the road, we ate here, the steak/ale pie was amazing, we both complimented the food, only complaint, we had a drink in the afternoon and came back few hours later, the same empty plates/glasses were still on the tables, bar staff were chatting, could of cleared the tables

Had a family meal here at the weekend, and was very disappointing. Drinks were served to us, and when we went to order food, two thirds of the menu was not available. No mac and cheese No steak pie No lasagne No chicken leek pie No caramel sauce No sticky toffee And several other items. The fish and chips was terrible, like a small piece of plaice overcooked, more a child's portion. If we had been told beforehand there was very little choice we would have gone somewhere else to eat, but there was no notice up or were we informed by manager serving drinks that food would be unavailable. This is obviously somewhere we will not be returning to, nor will we recommend to our Friends. I think this purely rely on the lodge accommodation for restaurant customers!
