As I sit here by the pool on the last day of our family holiday, I thought I’d take the opportunity to write a little review. A quaint traditional hotel/resort set right on the beach of the Caribbean Sea and with a forest/hill backdrop and within stumbling distance of ‘The *****’ - Not for you if you want a generic big hotel with all the bells and whistles, and there are some hills and steps to navigate too, but perfect for a relaxing break in a personal environment. All of the staff are lovely! Amazingly helpful and always greet you with a smile. We had breakfast as part of our deal which was in The Bistro, a cute little independently managed eatery and bar, overlooking the beach, wonderfully managed, we ate here many evenings too and the food was always good, plentiful and very reasonably priced. The cocktails are amazing and very strong!! The Rum Punch really took me out on our first night!! October, it seems isn’t the time for lobster on the island, so I guess we’ll have to come back for that delicacy! Back to the hotel! We had a 1 bed apartment which was huge! A wonderful 6ft wide bed in the main bedroom and a full double pullout bed in the lounge area, perfect for us and our 19yr old daughter. Clean, tidy, double a/c, full kitchen, iron, ironing board, safe, wardrobes, and a large balcony offering wonderful views of the sea, the salt beds and the *****. Fresh towels provided by reception every day for the pool or beach, good time to come for a truly relaxing holiday as there never any issues getting a sunbed. The sea was warm, shallow and gentle with really good snorkelling - we did have a day of wind and rain when the water wasn’t quite as hospitable! lol it churned in a lot of sargassum but the beach tractor was there in the morning, raking and cleaning the beach. We hired a car for a day, which the reception called through for us, a nice experience from a Brit’s experience as they drive on the right, so no surprises! Visited the Brimstone fort and few other places - can easily see most of the island in a couple of days. Will we be back? Certainly hope so! Had a cracking time! Thank you to everyone at the Timothy Beach Resort and The Bistro!

Checked in 18th October, was an easy check in process. Room was clean, but pots etc needed a better clean. Room only had sheets changed once in tens days, 2 days before we were leaving. Overall would book again. reception super helpful and polite, great crew. 20 u.s for taxi to airport. Happy hour at the bar called the Dock 3 beers for 5 u.s Beach towels provided Pool clean and nice views Good snorkeling on the reef outside the hotel. Nice guests staying here, friendly garden staff. Big fire on the ***** when we're here, burning down 2 bars which was sad. Overall a solid 4 out of 5. If was cleaner easy a 5 star review but don't let this put you off.

My wife and I visited Timothy beach resort for 2 weeks on a British Airways Holiday, I paid extra for a 1 bedroom suite with a sea view. The room was very dated and could do with a refurbishment as the furniture had cracks in them and the decor was very dated the room was not luxury. When we arrived I noticed some mess under the dressing table I took a photo and went down to reception to ask if this could be sorted out the lady on reception did not seem very interested and advised we were due a clean which I found strange as we had only just checked into the hotel? The cleaner did not sort this out so I did it myself I found the cleaning very inconsistent. We were interested in doing some trips and hiring a car we popped into reception as we were advised they could arrange this we went down to see about car hire and trips and were pointed in the direction of some leaflets in reception again the reception were not interested in helping us so we managed to sort this out ourselves with Bullseye car hire who were brilliant. I found the hotel grounds were well kept it is a shame they could not do more with the rooms. The hotel is in a great location on Frigate bay beach with the ***** on your doorstep on certain nights the noise from the ***** can keep you awake until the early hours of the morning. We used a guy called Shaun for our taxi rides to Marshall’s, lobster fest and our return journey to the airport - you’ll find him at the beginning of the *****. Mosquitoes were a problem us - excessive bites for both of us never experienced this amount. We booked a catamaran trip to Nevis through get my guide - the local company was blue water safari’s- they were excellent.

September 22, 2025 and four of us went for lunch that turned out to be very disappointing. The “fish fingers” were over breaded, oily, it has absolutely no fish flavor. The whole fish lunch/dinner was grilled and flavorful and tender, but asked for no bell peppers in the preparation, you guessed it, it was made with bell peppers as was the Polenta. The waitress was not attentive, obviously bored, and even said she was looking forward to getting off of work and leaving. What a disappointment!! During our week stay, we found much better food across the parking area…

This lovely little resort is nestled near the lush hillside of Timothy hill on Frigate bay, just steps from the beach. The rooms are quaint & authentic Caribbean style. The beds are comfy & the bathroom adequate. We upgraded to an ocean view room which had a lovely big balcony overlooking the beautiful Frigate bay beach , well worth the money. The location of the hotel is just perfect just steps away from the beach & the ***** of Frigate bay with bars & restaurants. The staff at this hotel are friendly & helpful. The grounds of the hotel are kept pristine. It has a small swimming pool which we didn't use as we are beach people, but it was well maintained & clean. The cleaning staff did a great job of cleaning the rooms & replacing towels. The locals are super friendly & both islands of St Kitts & Nevis are absolutely beautiful. In my opinion don't hesitate to book this hotel go ahead & do it you will not be disappointed. We had one of the best holidays we've ever had. 100% we will be returning. Thank you Timothy beach resort

While the rooms are showing their age, they are spotlessly clean, ensuring a comfortable stay. The hotel's beachfront setting is a definite highlight, with complimentary deck chairs available for guests to relax and take in the view. Service was very friendly and helpful it was nice to know I was supporting an independently run place. The hotel restaurant and bar are good, and a variety of other restaurants and bars are conveniently within a five minute walk. As others may have pointed out, occasional noise (loud bass) from certain venues might be noticeable - but this was not enough to disrupt my sleep and didn't happen every night. The air conditioning was newly installed, highly effective, and very quiet - keeping the rooms lovely and cool. WiFi worked fine and the hot water and pressure in the shower was also fine. For essentials, a decent supermarket is a short ten minute walk away and there is a small shop on site, but renting a car is highly recommended for greater flexibility in exploring the area - they can sort this for you too. I was able to book a boat cruise to Nevis that picked me up right from the pier by the hotel though which was very convenient as it saved me a taxi (I wanted to take advantage of the drinks, so I didn't want to drive!) There are also a lot of cats which the hotel feeds, but they also appreciate treats from guests too - though some are more shy than others. If you like cats, bring treats - they are expensive on the island.

Our fourth visit. Yes, it’s that good, and I’m very picky! Advice - book an Ocean View room and go as high up in price as you can afford, it’s 100% worth it! Sorry, long review! There’s so much to tell. On the subject of accessibility, it can be accessible if you take the right routes. I had to take a mobility scooter with me this time and it was totally fine when you know which routes to take. I’m not saying I could have done this on my own but the staff were on hand whenever we needed a hand with it due to weight of the thing folded or getting it in and out of the taxi, we use two specific drivers who are also amazing. We needed some medical help whilst we were there, called the front desk and a Dr was with us (in our apartment) within 30 minutes at 18:30! All sorted, medical needs sorted within 12 hours. We don’t get that in the UK anymore. It’s in a fabulous location on the Caribbean side, there is a small cafe, a small shop and a great bar onsite but independent. There are loads of great cafe’s, restaurants, bars and a couple of supermarkets very close by. We went to lots of them and the battery on the scooter never ran out! There are 3 pin UK sockets for charging (scooter needs to be earthed but you can take an adapter) and plenty of US style sockets too, which made life much easier. Eating out can be very reasonably priced, stick to where the locals go for food & drinks for cheaper options. There’s some really lovely restaurants if you want to splash out a bit too, Recommendations for places close by; Cheaper or reasonable: Meringue directly opposite, Coffee Shop at the end of the road, Rituals, Ah’len Lebanese food, Port Zante food court ( the BEST Quesadillas I’ve ever had) Medium or more pricey - Sommeliers on the *****, Boozies, Indian Summer. Ridiculously expensive - Orchid Bay but worth the experience. We’ve booked to come back in November because we know that whatever the state of my mobility needs, they will accommodate it if they can. If you have additional requirements, email them first and they will be honest about what is possible and make sure you are in the best place for accessibility. Our room was next door but one to the pool (which is beautifully maintained and has really comfy soft cushions, they also provide pool/beach towels on request free and change them whenever you need to with a big smile. Here’s some photos of the room, the location and the pool, and you will see why we will return for as long as we can. PS, we had a problem with the scooter (baggage handlers) and they went to found the tape we needed to take it on the return journey and helped with taping it up!

My friend and I came here last year and just fell in love with Timothy Beach Resort, the beach and the surrounding areas - we loved it so much we broke our own rule (not to return the following year!) and came back this year! I agree there are a few areas that may need a little attention however there wasn't anything that was a negative impact on our holiday. We had a 1 bed sea facing suite, it was very big, had fantastic air-con, a kitchen with a fridge freezer bigger than I have at home! There was also a lovely big balcony with loungers and a dining table. There are 3 key boxes to tick for a hotel for our annual girls trip - 1) Hotel must have sea/beach view - access 2) Great staff, helpful and friendly 3) Small/independent/local Timothy Beach ticks all 3 and how!! Massive thanks to Lauren and the reception team, all requests dealt with quickly and with a smile. Also big shout out to Craig and all the team looking after the grounds and putting out the beach beds, they are doing a great job! I have no doubt that this will not be our last visit to this truly delightful place, there will always be a little piece of my heart here!!
