This was an ideal hotel to explore the surrounding Alsace region and its pretty wine towns and villages. The hotel has a smart reception area, an outside terrace overlooking the old village for relaxing over a drink or meal, and an impressive restaurant where we enjoyed a first class breakfast and a couple of superb evening meals. Our room was spacious with a lovely view of the village and surrounding vineyards. The only reason I have not marked it with 5 stars is that the bedroom was rather bland and starting to look slightly tired, plus one or two of the reception staff lacked training skills, unlike the evening restaurant staff who provided a professional service.

Terrible front desk experience
- check-in took 45min.
No English, no ‘Hello’, the room I booked wasn’t available. It was already given away to a different guest. Letitia wasn’t capable of finding a replacement or didn’t have the authority to upgrade. I looked at 4 different rooms in total. The manager of the hotel was there the whole time, yet did not step in to help address the situation. He made sure he stayed with his back to me the whole time.
I got a nice room in the end, comparable to what I had booked, but only because I kept insisting. So frustrating.
At dinner - the server was unfriendly to the point that I addressed the issue head-on. Do you have a problem with me? ‘No, I don’t, I even brought you a different eine.’ What? That’s part of the job!
The property is old, the carpets needs replacement, but the location is fantastic.

Te hotel is beautiful outside but has a horrible smell in corridors and rooms! We left!!! And the manager was very very aggressive!!! ******* as always helped us to solve our problem!!

Really great experience, well located, clean room and friendly staff. Just check restaurant is open as it was closed on the day of our stay which was disappointing however we were made a reservation at nearby restaurant in village.

We stopped at this hotel on our way to Dijon. The hotel is located in a beautiful village close to uniquely picturesque villages. We found nice amenities and beautiful grounds. It is listed as a four stars hotel but I would say it is more like a three stars hotel. It is clean, but the towels are old and we ran out of soap which we requested but never came. There is no room service, and the hotel restaurant must be booked in advance. These were just small inconveniences for us, but may be important to others.
