This hotel is outstanding and the welcome you get is so warm and friendly i seriously can’t recommend this ibis styles enough and staff go above and beyond 1st class all the way

Stayed 2 nights as we were attending Haydock Races over the weekend. Room was more than adequate for our needs, comfy bed, fluffy towels and tea and coffee, just ask at reception if more is needed, they are happy to provide as much as you request. The rooms get very hot and no AirCon in rooms, can be unpleasant for sleeping. Had window open, however I do feel the hotel should stop people smoking at the front entrance, the noise is awful and smoke drifts up to rooms. Hence only 4 stars as the noise is very loud. Bar area, nice and clean and comfy. After a long drive we decided to chance a pizza in the hotel, I have to say it was lovely, clearly freshly baked and the bar/restaurant staff were lovely. Breakfast, both hot and cold food available, ample for our needs and constantly replenished. Overall a good stay, only issues personal to us, no air con and the noise from smokers at all hours at front entrance.

Greeted by a chaotic check-in process at 3pm on Friday, majority of guests attending the races/Tom Jones concert so wanting a quick turn around to get out again, so not ideal, you'd think they'd be more prepared. Our room was hot and facing the main road, so was noisy with the window open (no air-con). Kitchen delivery wagon arrived at 7.36am right below our window, again very noisy. Also has very cheap-feeling thin toilet roll in the bathrooms. Breakfast was ok and was the one redeeming factor. Location wise, fairly handy for the races (around £8.50 in an Uber or a 40 mins walk)

Upon arrival we were greeted by a bar full of young men literally screaming at the TV. Granted England were playing but it wasn’t a great welcome. The curtains were falling from the rails in our room and the corridors smelled of ****. Ok it was only one night as a stop-over on our way up North after the Belfast ferry but it will be a LONG time before I consider an Ibis again! We went across the way for dinner and had a truly awful meal. If I could give this place zero I would! All this before we even try breakfast!!!

We were regular visitors until it shut to the public. We found out it reopened about 6 months ago so booked for 2 nights. The Stafford very polite and helpful. The room was clean, bed was comfy, a good night's sleep. The location for us is perfect as not far from family. We will be back soon.

Perfect for the price
All we needed was accommodation close to Liverpool for the title parade. We spent £61 which in comparison to anywhere else was a bargain. We parked up in the morning and didnt arrive back until late, reception staff were friendly and welcoming. Room clean and tidy with enough facilities. We didnt use but theres also a good space for breakfast and a bar, i would definitely stay again.

Stopped here following a day of celebration in Liverpool for the parade! Glad that we booked as after what was a long, wet day we were glad of the short drive and convenient location of this hotel!
Staff were all superb and from greeting on booking in through to our lovely breakfast and departure the next day. The room was spot on for our needs, well equipped, comfortable, clean and quiet! Evening meal and relaxing in the lounge area were ideal after our hectic day! Would gladly return to this hotel in the future!
